The staff were pleasant and most helpful. The room was wonderful. Neat, clean and well stocked. We stayed in the Dream Room section, overlooking the lake. King sized beg and jacuzzi tub. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for years!
The food was out of this world. Homemade everything! Breakfast, snacks, and evening wine was included in the room price.
We had in room massages which were an additional charge...but well worth it!
I rate this stay and lodge a 5/5! I cannot wait to go back!

My wife and three year old stumbled on Lake Lure as we were searching for a place to stay that would be close to an ill friend there. A nurse recommended the "Lodge". WOW we had no idea this place existed, and, it's only three hours from our home. We will be coming back for a long weekend soon. No kids this time!
The staff is very pleasant. Love the afternoon Wine & Cheese. Breakfast is wonderful. I highly recommend you check this out.

Room Tip: We enjoed the master bedroom with large bath.

My husband and I just got back from a lovely weekend at the Lodge on Lake Lure. We went for my birthday and were there for two nights. We stayed in room 3 (we had originally booked room 15, but upon arrival found out that we’d been upgraded – a nice birthday surprise). It had a king-sized and uber comfy bed, a gas fireplace with a little sitting area, a private balcony with a lake view and a claw-foot tub in the bathroom that was perched right in front of a giant bay window overlooking the lake. We got in a little after 9pm, but the place was dark and quiet, so it kind of felt like we had it all to ourselves.

The Lodge walks the line between a cozy bed and breakfast and a boutique hotel, and does it very well. You get the charm and warmth of a b&b but you’re not constantly bumping into the owners. You feel pampered by the organic bath products and well-appointed rooms. And you get the best part of the b&b experience: the food! Breakfast was made to order. One day we had our choice of omelets, and another day we could choose between eggs benedict and french toast (I think they called it Carolina french toast – it was made from biscuits; genius, I tell you). Every day they had fresh baked biscuits and scones – delicious. The other treats they had available 24 hrs were downright addictive. We missed the wine and cheese social hour on Saturday, but we did make it to the dinner. It was fantastic. The menu changes frequently, but the theme for ours was sort of modern southern comfort food and it was so yummy. We also appreciated the added convenience of ordering a bottle of wine after dinner to take back to our room.

The grounds are truly gorgeous. It’s set on a hillside, with paths meandering through gardens down toward the lake. The azaleas had just started to bloom while we were there. So pretty! There are a few places where you could sit by the water and read all day long.

The staff were genuinely friendly and happy to help. They seemed to be able to sense which guests wanted to chat and which preferred to keep to themselves.

The location is great as well. It felt secluded, but it was still under an hour’s drive to Asheville.

There are cheaper places to stay in Lake Lure and more expensive places as well. We felt the total value of what you get for the price of a night’s stay was excellent. That’s why we’ve decided to make it our favorite weekend getaway spot. I can’t wait for our next visit!

Took advantage of the March special rates and booked 2 rooms at this lodge for my parents and my husband and myself. We were all impressed with lodge accomodations and the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were nicely furnished with large bathroom, very clean and the beds were comfortable. The lodge setting is scenic, quiet and relaxing on the lake. My husband and I enjoyed paddling the canoe across the lake and enjoying the scenic solitude. Excellent breakfasts and afternoon snacks are included. We enjoyed complimentary wine and cheese one night. We would return to this lodge again.

Loved every minute of our trip an did not want to leave. We are in the process of finding another date in the spring so we can go back. Would love to turn this into an annual weekend getaway! The rooms are clean, great views, and amazing food!

This was our second stay. The lodge has the same owner, but under new management. Seems like things were better this time, that is if you can improve upon perfect. We liked that the evening wine social was moved up a little earlier. They also now offer a Saturday dinner with Chef Peter preparing an excellent meal with local ingredients. Such a relaxing setting. You will lose track of time.

Beautiful views, warm hospitality, exceptional location (unless you are immobile and unable to do stairs to get down to the lake), great breakfast, and the list goes on. If you enjoy bed a breakfast Inns, this one is a must. Rustic, yet clean and up to date. The only problem, you'll want more then just one night.
