“Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

This is a place everyone should visit at least once. You just look around with amazement as to how a plane could actually get off the ground. This would be great for groups, family's,couples or just alone.

“Interesting visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

It was good to see the stages the Wright brothers went through and the museum talk was really interesting and informative with the replica of the plane. Be prepared to take your walking shoes though if you want to walk up the hill from the museums as it is quite a walk in the very hot weather.

“A Hidden Tribute”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

This hidden gem is in back of the Aycock Brown Welcome Center - NOT the Wright Brothers Memorial which is a few miles down the road. I really enjoyed the monuments depicting the past 100 years of flight. It's ashame that it is hidden behind the visitor center!!

“Nice monument, but it's not the Wright Bros one”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Most reviewers are leaving reviews of the Wright Brothers National Monument, which is a National Park site in Kitty Hawk. The Monument to a Century of Flight is actually located at a different location. This is in the back parking lot of the Visitors Center in Kitty Hawk. There is a short walk (much less than up to the Wright Brothers Memorial) to the monument. It's a good short walk to stretch your legs if you have been sitting in beach traffic. We went as part of my daughter's Exploring the Outer Banks Girl Scout Explore badge work. Grandma and Grandpa were with us. We showed our kids all the aviation advances that have happened during their grandparents' and parents' lifetimes. I would recommend this stop as part of an Outer Banks vacation.

“Worth going....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

A must when visiting OBX but don't plan on spending the day. an hour will get you what you need. They have some new features but mostly the same as the older museum.
