“6 for dinner......all 5 stars, thumbs way up”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

Had to wait 45 minutes, but was well worth it. Fantastic meal. Chef's really know how to grill beef. Fried onions in tobacco flour appetizer was delicious. Between our 6, we had 2 filets, 2 rib eyes, and 2 NY strips. All perfect, bread homemade and service unbelievable. A must!

“A little disappointed they didn't recognize my husbands birthday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

It was hubby's b-day and he wanted steak, asked a local where best steak was she suggested JK's. The steak was very good not the best I have had but very over priced. I was also disappointed that on two occassions we mentioned to waitress that it was my husbands b-day now I didn't expect a group singing just a simple extra dessert to make him feel special. I have never been to a restaurant that didn't do that. Not a good place for families with small children. Better for small groups.

“Great Steakhouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Excellent service, the bread is too die for. One of the best caprese salads we have ever had. Seafood chowder a must have. Steaks were very good but more on a higher end. Love the layout and decor.

“An Outer Banks Must Have”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Kellie and I found this restaurant on our Honeymoon 10 years ago. We actually ate there twice that week. We have been back at least once every single year since then.

JKs serves the best steak that I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I get the rib-eye every time I go. It is so tender, moist, and flavorful that you don't need salt, pepper, or steak sauce. In fact, they do not even have any steak sauce in the whole restaurant. I once asked why, and they told me the owner says that if you need to put steak sauce on his steaks then he hasn't given you a steak worthy of eating! Awesome! And, he is right!

Kel says the ribs are the best she has ever had. They come with a dry rub that they sell to take home. That taste is beyond belief. The same rules apply for wet barbecue sauce that apply to steak sauce. If you need it, they haven't done the ribs well enough!

We have also discovered a perfect appetizer for the meal. The serve a South Carolina Quail on a mixed green salad that will set the stage for the whole meal. My mouth waters just typing about it.

If you are in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, or even within a couple hundred miles of it, you must stop by JKs and treat yourself to one of the best meals you have ever had!

The prices look a little high, but don't walk out because of the prices. The food is well worth what you pay.
