I quite enjoyed my stay. Excellent customer service, clean rooms, and right on the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel,

I felt the cost was a bit expensive for off-season, but it was during a spring break period, so I was not terribly surprised. We booked an ocean front room and were placed on the second floor. At the time of booking, we were warned there was no elevator and would be required to carry our bags up to the second story, so there were no surprise there.
The front desk staff was courteous and efficient during check in, pointing out the breakfast room, laundry, snack machine, etc. We were also told of the availability of an afternoon snack and beverages, and it was suggested we help ourselves before heading to our room.
There were two options for getting to our room - walking around the outside of the building then up the steps, or up the steps off of the lobby, then down a corridor and outside to our room.
The room itself was nice - obviously recently redone as the door frames were new wood. Two double beds, a small couch, a large television and a great view. The bathroom was nicely tiled and contained a cabinet for storing personal toiletries. A safe, iron and ironing board were tucked away in the closet with a small refrigerator just to the left of the closet. A coffee pot which made one cup at a time was on top of the refrigerator.
Direct access to the beach from the hotel included a wooden walkway. There was a shower and foot spray for cleaning off the sand from your beach trip, plus a picnic table.
Breakfast provided an assortment of sausage, cheese omelets, waffles, cereals, apples, toast, juices, milk and coffee.
The only downside to our stay was our "neighbors". On Saturday night, they left their television on all night at a loud volume. I could hear their television almost as clearly as if the television in our room was on all night, even after placing cotton in my ears. I can only imagine their television was on the same wall as the headboards of the beds in our room. (If that is the case, I would recommend the rooms be rearranged so that headboards are on the same wall as headboards.) We did not call the front desk in the middle of the night to request assistance, although we probably should have done so.

We reserved an ocean front second floor room. We confirmed that with the person we talked to at Wyndham when we made the reservation.
When we arrived at the Days Inn in Kill Devil Hills, NC, we were told they were full and given a small room on the ground floor on the street side of the hotel.
The room was as wide as two double beds and a night stand. The door would lock, but there was daylight on 3 sides of it when closed. The bathroom was fairly new, but the room itself was dated and musty smelling.
We won't go back. This was my first experience using reward points on the Wyndham program. I truly believe the hotel could get a premium for the room we reserved, so they rented it and stuck the loyalty member in a room no one else rented. I am also IHG Gold due to my work travels. We will try them next and hope we get what we reserve.

We went early April as a couple getaway! Great price for a beachfront room. Newly redone and a very homey feel. Room 230 was excellent.

We stayed for two nights in a room so small that you could not even change your mind. The hotel claims this is a standard room, and that their "cozy" sized rooms are even smaller. The bed was overly soft and saggy; on the plus side they give you lots of pillows. The hotel swears the bed was a queen size, but it appeared (and felt) like a full sized bed. My husband and I sleep on a Queen at home and could tell a big difference in the amount of sleeping room. We were in room 210, which is just above the hotel main door, We had to listen to doors slam all night long. The stairs for the hotel were close by as well; the bed would shake as people ran up them. I will say that the room was very clean. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with: waffles, toast, yogurt, oatmeal, apples, sausage, cereal, and eggs; all of decent quality. They also offer popcorn, apple juice, and cookies every evening from 5pm-8pm. Overall I will say that we would never stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone else.

Room Tip: stay away from 210. Way too noisy!!
