We went here 2 days in a row...the first day I had the mahi mahi taco and soft shell crab taco...second day I had a beef and chicken taco.....fresh salsa and delicious queso.my 2 year old nephew also enjoyed his peanut butter and jelly burrito. Julie was our waitress both days and was so nice and awesome. Will def be going back!

“LOVED everything about Bad Bean! A new 'must-do' for OBX.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2011

Our first visit to Bad Bean in Kill Devil Hills definitely won't be our last! The food was top-notch with great flavors, freshness and excellent selection. We love to try local restaurants when traveling instead of the same boring chains. This place is the best!

“Fresh delicious Mexican food. One of best in KDH”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2011

Tucked away in Seagate North Shopping Center, this is not one to be missed. Home made guacamole and salsa. Jicama slaw on fish and shrimp tacos is also delicious. Reasonable priced and great place for whole family

“Best Mexican in OBX!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2011

Forget the generic La Fogata chain, this is real mexican food! I'm from Southern California, and I always have a hard time finding real mexican food on the east coast. Most of it tends to be "tex-mex", which is okay, but it's completely different. Bad Bean reminds me of trips down to Baja as a child. Great tacos & margaritas. The KDH location is full service with a full bar. The original location in Duck (Timbuck II), is just a order at counter and sit place. We had been visiting the Duck location for years. Having stayed in Nags head the past couple of years, we are very happy to have this location down here!

“Great food - not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2011

My husband and I ate at Bad Bean 2 days in a row during our stay. The food was very fresh and imaginative. He tried the mahi tacos, shrimp tacos and mahi burrito. (unfortunately the tuna was not in season) I had the vegetarian tostada. The salsa and guacamole were fresh and tasty. We had planned to return for the Sunday Brunch after seeing the menu, but unfortunately had to leave early due to the weather. We will definitely return to the Bad Bean.
