“Great old school diner!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

This is definitely a mom and pop diner and it's absolutely delicious!! My husband and I went for brunch on a Saturday with my parents. The place was packed but we were seated right away and our sever had us all laughing. The food was quick and delicious! We'll definitely be going back!

Always have Sunday breakfast here when I come down to visit my husband. Best mom and pop place in Jacksonville.

“Best breakfast we found”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

In chain restaurant city, it was nice to find an independent place with good food and friendly service. Was sorry we found this late in the week- we would have gone there more often.

“Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

We always eat breakfast at the Kettle when we visit Camp Lejeune. The servers all treat us like family even though they don't know us.The food is just plain downhome cooking. Nothing fancy just good.

“Ok, but very unremarkable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013 via mobile

Staff seemed polite but the food was pedestrian. I come from the northeast where diners are generally pretty good places to eat. If this place was in the northeast it would be out of business in a week. The only thing that saves it is that this town is completely populated by chain restaurants. If you dont want your meal wrapped in paper then this place is pretty much your only choice. My omelet was poorly done, over cooked with mediocre ingredients, grits were bland, some of the worst I've tasted in 2 years of living in the south and a lifetime of traveling there. My wife had eggs Benedict that was ok, nothing special. Neither of us finished our breakfast.
