It was fascinating to see the birds in different stages of rehab and to learn the stories of how they came to be at the Raptor Center. The staff is very knowledgable and enjoys telling visitors about the center and the various birds housed there.
See wonderful hawks and eagles that have been rescued and learn from the volunteers about the birds' rescue stories. Great for kids.
Very nice, informative and educational raptor center. Well-kept birds. Also, nice walk in forested area.
I was a little surprised at the cost ($10 per adult), but it was a nice way to spend time outside while learning about different hawks, etc. This was a nice outing for my husband and me that we were able to do together. We didn't realize this reserve is on land that houses hiking trails, an old plantation home, and more. We could have spent several hours hiking trails for free, but we had other plans. I would recommend doing the raptor center and the other attractions around it. Beautiful setting.
I enjoyed watching the birds but I didn't like the location of the birds because it was deep in the woods and I didn't wear the proper shoes. Make sure you dress appropriately because it is in the woods.
