“For privacy and relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Nothing can beat the hospitality and graciousness of the hosts, Callie & Dave or the astoundingly beautiful views. Not an easy ride up the mountain, but certainly worth it
when you get there. Just enough attention paid to make you feel like a friend, not a guest. We stayed in the first floor suite which was nicely planned and filled with necessities like
coffee, creamer, etc. With a full-size fridge and microwave, it has everything you need. Hosts were very attentive and eager to hear your thoughts and suggestions. The suite is very comfortable, the home is magnificent. Lovely light breakfast and good conversation. Very
private. A great place to just unwind, relax.

Room Tip: We suggest the first floor suite to avoid climbing stairs. It also has amenities (e.g., kitchenett...

We recently stayed 2 nights with Callie and Dave at Riverdance. We had such a lovely time.

Its a perfect B&B. You get lots of your own space but still enjoy great company with the owners and other guests (as well as a delicious breakfast). We had our 6 month old son with us, he was very comfortable and loved his time with Callie! The location is great, close to lots of mountains, hikes and activities. Oh, and the hot tub is great.

We wish we could have had another night or two to explore about their property more.

Callie & Dave make you feel like family by welcoming you into their home to share all the amenities.

The hot tub is awesome and well placed on the property with a great view. Enjoy it @ night with a beverage of your choice. You can tell the placement of the tub is well thought out. It is not easy to get a hot tub installed in the side of a mountain. Very ingenious Dave!

Callie prepares a very sumptuous breakfast spread with fresh fruit, yogurts and breakfast treats.

We stayed in the lower level suite which had plenty of space for the two of us.
There is a nice living room with big screen TV, desk, kitchenette with sink, frig. microwave and a toaster oven.

This is a great getaway, with a great view and comfortable accommodations. It’s a Great Value too! Just a great place to kick back, reflect and enjoy life.

Room Tip: Remember to stop @ Ingles grocery store on your way in to pick up goodies you’ll need for the durati...

My husband and i stayed at Riverdance over the New year. I have been hesitant to write this review however watching all of the reviews made by by different people (with only one review ever completed) and some being so similar in the wording that i just had to share our experience which was ok but NOT EXCELLENT! First, Callie is very nice and works extremely hard. I think we may have come at a time of personal turmoil due to some personal stuff going on during our stay. My husband and i were FREAKED out with the drive up to the house due to the steep hill ( we are afraid of those types of steep roads with no guardrails) and ice. This is our issue, not Riverdance but something those like us should be aware of. In fairness, Callie offered and did drive us down and picked us up from the bottom of the hill so we could visit the hot springs spa that night.it was very appreciated. We were welcomed on arrival and they were very nice and welcomed us into their home. It was a bit unnerving when the dogs met....two alpha females. We knew immediately that the dogs would not get along. Our dog is as much to blame but we didn't have to hold ours back although we were nervous for her to be there and althoguh "dog friendly" Dave was very stern in how she was to be kept upstairs. We have a very good dog! Our room was nice, clean and as some of the other reviews, the bed was comfortable. The opening overlooking downstairs is NOT private. The bedrooms are and you can close the door but the opening was covered with a room divider screen made it uncomfortable to sit in the sitting area due to the lack of privacy. We brought some New years food and we were encouraged to utilize the kitchen. We did and enjoyed sharing the appitizers with the other guests and Callie. Breakfast is made up of fruit, muffins and other goodies. More like a continetal breakfast due to not having a proper license to "cook" food. We utililized the hot tub the 2nd day and it was very nice. We were not sure of the "rush" to clean the hottub during our last day and could not even get in the hot tub that evening because it was drained earlier in the day. That was very disappointing as that is a must for us with any place we stay when going to Hot Springs. When putting away our stuff in the fridge downstairs, there was an overwhelming smell of gasoline fumes. We mentioned it to Callie and initially thought it was due to gasoline being spilled in the garage. We would not have stayed downstairs with the fumes and we were so concerned we even made a plan for an escape should there be any sort of fire from the fumes. Again, in fairness we only brought it up once to Callie but i cant believe that no one else smells it or that they (Callie and Dave) dont smell and acknowledge it and fix it. The smell eventually subsided and we think it is caused by the storage of several gas containers in the garage or the use and/ leaking of gas from the four wheeler stored there. The views from the house are awesome! The weather for us was cold and had rain so the privacy of the house was an issue. In other weather, it probsbly wouldnt have mattered to us. It is a nice place but i would not rate it excellent. We found Riverdance from an email from Trip advisor due to all of the excellent reviews. I read them and booked. We were very excited I never noticed that most of them that have been written are from someone with ONE review. Callie does an excellent job of giving you a list of directions on how to review upon departure which is a great business idea...i just question some of the comments

Certainly want to respond to the issues you raised, and assure you that steps have been taken to resolve those concerns.

You noted that in some areas our communication could have been more exact to better meet your needs. More attention will be paid to asking a guest about their plans for using the hot tub so there will not be a delay. It is a priority for us to make sure the water is of high quality for each guest. Though I describe the continental breakfast in emails as well as verbally more detail has also been added to the homepage of our website.

Midge, our four footed friend, enjoys our guests but we are happy to be in our master suite as well. So, when guests do bring their four footed friend we will make that option known on arrival.
Notice of a gas odor when entering the garage to place items in the refrigerator also has been addressed. All items that could possibly cause that problem in any way have been removed. There was never any safety concern for our guests no matter the upper or lower suite level.
The sitting area in Tree Tops overlooks the great room below (privacy screen in place) has not been expressed as a concern, but something we will definitely address. We will be making the current arrangement known on the website, and look into alternatives that will allow more privacy.
When the winter season hits we are fortunate to have an ATV, plow, and salt spreader on premise to take immediate action when old man winter calls. Dave and I are always happy to shuttle guests up and down from the lodge if they are uncomfortable with the paved roads within our gated community.

RiverDance certainly knows how important reviews are to the overall quality of a guests stay. That is the reason we take your input seriously, and transform it into action.

My husband and I visited RiverDance for our first night away from our girls since having twins. We were looking for some peaceful relaxation away and that is exactly what we found in this beautiful home. Everything was spotless and the view was incredible. Dave and Callie were excellent hosts and we could not have asked for a better experience. Callie even brought us up some chocolates for our Valentines Day escape! Can't wait to go back!

What a find tucked away in the mountains near Hot Springs!! Wonderful timber frame home, nicely decorated and what a VIEW for any of the decks. Callie and Dave were the prefect hosts, ready to meet our needs without hesitation. I highly recommend this for a night away or a week away.
