“Very 'Accommodating' accommodations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Sometimes a wedding weekend gets pretty complicated. The flexibility of our kind hosts at Riverdance allowed us to include an extra family. We occupied both suites (plus some). We also held the catered rehearsal dinner there . It was a good place for a fun informal get together. You will not see a more spectacular view anywhere in the area. We had a great weekend!

This was a perfect surprise from my husband. A white water rafting trip that I knew about, but Riverdance was a complete surprise. All I can say is that he outdid himself with this trip. He is always trying to please me with spur of the moment trips and things like that but I don't think he will ever top Riverdance. The view is breathtaking and the air so clean especially when the rain is coming down gently on the rooftop. The fireplace on the porch was awesome while it was raining, we spent half of our time there. Then there was the heated bathroom floor, (my personal favorite) my feet never got cold in the middle of the night when they hit that floor. Would we recommend Riverdance to you. Well let me say, "just do it".You wont be sorry.!!!

My husband and I celebrated our 1 year Anniversary at Riverdance in the River Rock Suite and we wished we could have stayed another day when we woke up this morning. The House was amazing and decks were amazing and the views and sounds from the River below were mesmerizing. We opened up our Window and could here the River all night and the rain which kept up sleeping in until 9am. We had a wonderful time in the hot tub which has now been moved and it located on the other side of the house but the view from inside the hot tub is incredible as well! The attention to detail in the very nice upscale house and cabin was just an added bonus! Each deck has an incredible view and every area in the house just has such a nice feel to it! The hospitality was incredible and we loved staying here! Also this place is not far at all from Hot Springs like 8 miles or so! We will definately be back in the future! The owners who were out of town went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome even when they were out of town and not at the house! These people have great taste and know a thing or two about customer service!

Room Tip: The bed was so comfy in the RiverRock Suite as well and the private deck area was so nice!

We wanted a quiet night away. So we did the typical search & find the best deal in the area, but after reading the many positive reviews helped me decide on River Dance. The multiple floors offer something for everyone. The VIEW from the decks are amazing!! Untouched nature for miles.

The host Callie & David left no detail to spare. When we walked in it felt like "home". Onsight hottub, DirectTv, Wi-fi, coffee, & fresh breakfast served in the morning!!

We will be back and highly recommend to everyone!! Stop searching & book now. You will not be disappointed :)

RiverDance sits atop a bluff overlooking the Laurel River, which sends its lovely soothing sounds up the cliff to your outdoor chair on an expansive wooden deck. This lodge beckons the urban traveler to come and rest; breathe in the clear mountain air, and drink in the lovely mountain views. Its cheerful hosts are very accommodating to your wishes. We elected to do things "family style" so we shared meals together with them, both indoors in the cathedral-ceiling great room and outdoors on the deck. You must book at least two nights here or you will feel cheated; the location is extraordinary and the hospitality warm and inviting.

Room Tip: Ask for the treehouse suite; the queen-sized bed is one of the most comfortable we've ever slept...

My husband & I enjoyed every minute of our stay @ River Dance. The 350ft plunge from the back porch to the 'dancing' river below was indeed a highlight. We were also spoiled by the full moon light spilling into our bedroom as we drifted off to sleep to the sound of the river outside our open windows. The location was perfect for our river rafting expedition as well as our visit to Hot Springs. Callie provided a lavish continental breakfast at the time we needed it & we enjoyed our breakfast on the back patio set as we took in the beautiful sights & sounds of the untouched mountains around us. I recommend this place only to those who want to get in touch with nature, unwind, & nurture their senses in appreciation for what nature gives us.

Room Tip: Ask for A/C unit control assistance. Although everything was neat & nothing alarmingly unclea...

We chose this place over other places in Hot Springs because of the reviews; also because of the outstanding view of the mountains with the constant sounds of the creeks below, and its proximity to a couple of hiking destinations, mainly Max Patch. Callie and Dave treated us like honored guests but also like family, and made every effort to make us feel right at home. A great, fresh breakfast is included in the stay, served in their own beautiful kitchen. The house itself is stunning, open and bright. I'm not a hot-tub person but the evening that I, my husband and teenaged daughter soaked in it and chatted with another couple, overlooking the mountains, was so relaxing. Another plus is that it's helpful to be able to stay with locals who live in the area about how to get around and recommended places to visit. Max Patch is not as close a drive from Hot Springs as I had thought (it's very remote) but is a MUST SEE and once you drive there it's just a short walk up to the top from the parking lot. If you do stay at Riverdance, make sure you bring some food to cook for lunch and/or dinner as the closest store is about 20 minutes away. In fact, Riverdance is such a wonderful respite from city life that you could just stay there and chill and relax and never do anything else.
