“Great place to escape from it all!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2009

Beautiful and clean cabin, cozy and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay there with friends and the kids had a great time. The linens and towels were provided and the kitchen was well furnished with everything we needed. The hot tub was wonderful! Make sure you bring enough food to last your stay!

Thanks you all so much for the opportunity to visit the cottages. My fiance and I decided it was time for a break from the hustle and bustle of the economic situation, the kiddies, and the holiday madness. On a whim, we searched for and researched several cabins in the NC mtns. We had visited a few in the past. When we came across Dancing Suns we were astounded by the prices. What a deal! And upon arrival at the Dancing Moon Cabin, it became more evident that we found a "diamond in the rough". Truly isolated, but only minutes from Hot Springs among other various gorgeous attractions, we found that we had gotten so much more than we bargained for. Numerous trails to hike or bike, privacy, and what a beautiful landscape! A bubbling brook just outside our front door provided that "Zen feeling" we all look for when needing a getaway. Just to sit in the hot tub and listening to the natural environment around us was sooo relaxing. The accommodations were very cozy, charming and immaculate as well. We can't say Thank You enough! It was everything we needed to get back in touch with the basics and RECHARGE! Tom was present when we arrived to give us a tour and tips....and then as a host should be, he was there only and Every-time we needed him. We will definitely be back....ASAP...Thank you Dancing Sun Cabins

We arrived after dark. a possum was waiting for us in the driveway . The place was clean. Hot tub was wonderful. One of the reasons we rented here was because they change their hot tub after every guest. Working in the rental business for years believe me very few companies do this!! .A noisey creek runs beside the big porch. Stars sparkle brighter from a hot tub. even though its down in the holler it gets plenty of sunshine. I panned for gold in the creek and hiked to the top of the ridges. Secluded, peaceful and relaxing a wonderful way to spend our 26th anniversary. We will definetly return.

Me and my fiancee stayed at two places for our Honeymoon, the first night in Knoxville at the Hilton because we didn't want to drive the full distance from home to the cabin, which turned out to be a good idea as we got to the Hilton pretty late. Then the next day we made our way to the cabin. It was absolutely amazing. I have to say the Hilton, even though room service was cool, had nothing at all on this special place.
I got a little nauseous on the roads because they are curvy mountain roads, but after a day or two, I was used to it (note that I get carsick very easily). The views you get on the way to the cabin are spectacular and you must visit nearby Max Patch for a short hike with some great views. I would choose this as a destination anyway over a five star beach resort because of the peace and quite. The nearby town of Hot Springs only adds to the splendor of staying here. It's very small and all the people are friendly, plus there are some really nice restaurants in town. We ate at the Iron Horse our last night there and they have the most awesome french fries and fried chicken I've ever tasted. There is also a hot tub on the porch which we relaxed in every night of our stay, I've kinda been spoiled by it now.

I highly recommend staying at the Moondance, or any of the other cabins at Dancing Sun Cabins, and visiting Hot Springs, be it for a honeymoon, anniversary, or just to get out of the city for a while. It's a stupendous place to stay and isn't too far from other great destinations like Asheville.

My wife and I stayed in the Sun Dance cabin for a three night get-a-way from the everyday stress. We brought our own food to cook in the cabin or for picnics on hikes. We drove into Hot Springs to go hiking along the AT and whitewater raft (Huck Finn was great). We also drove to Max Patch (9.7 miles from the cabin) which was an awesome 360 degree view of mountains. I highly suggest you pack a lunch and picnic up there. (Beware, about 7 miles of the drive is dirt/gravel, but it is worth it!) We ate most of our dinners/breakfast at the cabin so we could sit on the large porch and soak in the nature all around. We also enjoyed fresh picked blueberries. The best we ever had. (you can pick more at Max Patch)
The cabin has one bedroom, full kitchen and living room. The cabin also had a huge deck with a hot tub right off the deck. We first questioned why the hot tub was not on the deck, but when we got in it at night we realized... it's for the awesome view. While in the Hot Tub, you can enjoy the dark black sky with stars (something being from the city we don't get) and the fire-flies. Beautiful! The cabin is very secluded and romantic. It was a great place to get away from cell phones, internet, and city noise.
Also to add, the cabin was VERY clean. It looked brand new! Tom does a great job of keeping the cabin clean and offers it for a very reasonable price. You can't get a better cabin for the price! We loved this place MUCH more than going to a hotel and spending the same amount on a room that is noisy and dirtier.
We will definitely go back in the near future.

A friend of mine was visiting from Scotland and I wanted a place where we could both unwind and relax and I certainly found it! The lushness of the property and the cabin itself was just perfect. Everything that you need is provided, all you have to bring is your food and beverage. We had a great time will definately come again and if you are looking for the perfect place to commune with nature and find yourself again this is it.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Dancing Sun Cabins. We had the three bedroomed cabin. It was really roomy and comfortable, the hot tub was great, and we loved the fresh air and the peace and quiet of the country. The only slight drawback was the distance from Hot Springs but the drive really isn't too bad and we brought our own groceries. I would highly recommend it for a mountain get away.
