I visited Hellas for the first time with my husband and a friend today. I was excited to see how crowded the parking lot was. Upon entering I quickly learned it was the Waffle House next door that was so hopping. There was not a soul to be found other than employees. The hostess was friendly and our waitress was nice enough. I don't believe I would go so far as to say the service was great. I am typically weary of menus containing pictures. I know how to read. I was genuinely surprised by this. The exterior is so pretty! I really thought this would be more upscale. Not 5 star, but not 2 star either. The menu was rather limited, and didn't contain as much authentic Greek food as anticipated. I had a salad and grilled shrimp. The shrimp was tough, and not properly cleaned and deveined. My husband had a turkey wrap, and our friend had the Hellas burger. Neither of them finished their meals. This would not be a very big deal if they weren't constantly deployed soldiers who generally eat ANYTHING. The interior is bland. The Greeks are such a bright and vibrant people and culture. I was extremely disappointed. Had they spent as much time and energy creating good food, a decent menu, and pretty interior; I may have had a different review. Don't fall for the exciting advertising and unique building. The $40 we spent wasn't even close to worth it. Next time I'll go across the street to Taco Bell.
