“"A Refreshing Romance With Nature"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2014

A fulfilling trip for nature lovers like us. One can experience the majestic waterfalls with all the 5 human senses: sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste. What we liked most was being up-close and personal with the cascading water...soothing!

“Lovely falls”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2014

Well designed park to see the falls and experience it without having to cross the dangerous highway that leads up to Highlands. We were there on a Sunday and it was very crowded in October. But not to be missed!

“Getting there is half the fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2014

To get to this beautiful waterfall you have to drive through the Cullasaja River Gorge which by itself is worth the trip. Don't miss the opportunity to park in any of the rest areas along the road to walk and explore. Have your camera ready as there are outstanding views in all directions! The falls themselves are not overly impressive but the natural surroundings are beautiful. A parking with bathroom facilities and a well design and maintained trail leads you to the falls. The trail will allows you to walk behind the actual waterfall making for a unique photo opportunity.

“Beautiful waterfall and you can walk it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2014

They've added a nice parking lot and a mens and womens bathroom. The improvements include a walkway (paved) from the parking area to the waterfall. Funny this is called Dry Falls, because it's anything but dry. The cool thing about this waterfall is the walking path that allows you to walk under the waterfall. The road leading to this is one of the prettiest in the area. It's like stepping into the Garden of Eden. If you are prone to carsickness, then make sure you take a couple of Dramamine before you get there (especially any kids in the back seat). This is a curvy road, literally one after the other. Very popular with motorcyclists.

“Dry Falls”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2014

Dry Falls is a gorgeous waterfall found in Highlands, NC. The area is serene and relaxing. This is one of the waterfalls that you can walk behind as the waterfalls from a shelf above. There is a wooden walk-way that leads you down to the waterfall. The walk down to the waterfall is friendly for children and older adults. I visited the waterfall November 2014 and it was boasting with a grand amount of water flowing down over the shelf. There was some ice formed on the ground cover. I would visited Dry Falls again.
