“Excellent experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

My family needed a dog friendly hotel over Thanksgiving to visit extended family and we were blown away by how friendly the staff was and the cleanliness of the rooms. We were apprehensive simply because they are pet friendly, but they are equipped to handle and deliver a good stay. Thanks!

Desk clerk was as friendly as a viper. Hissed at her co-workers to get out of her way.
Our room turned out to be a "Handicapped " room. I did not have the courage to face the viper regarding a change. The dresser was broken in half, the center was on the floor, ends up.
The headboard was hanging on the wall, one side low, the bracket was broken, the opposite side in the correct place. Closet was a free standing cabinet less than two feet wide. With the ironing board out, my wife was able to get her 3 days of clothes in. I hung my clothes on the arm of the floor lamp. Very poor lighting, worst I have ever had in a hotel room. Drapery falling apart.
By accident we left the "do not disturb" on the last day about 7 am when we left for our business. Returned at 9 pm to find a note on the door. Room of course was not cleaned. It might have been possible sometime during the day to have "Knocked" It was clean. OK , PASS on this place.

I apologize for the unappealing atmosphere that you experienced at check in. It is important for all of our staff members to remember that we play an actor role when we are working with guests and the professionalism in this particular interaction was obviously lacking. I also apologize that the condition of your room was not what you had hope and had been promised also. We are in the process of upgrading some of our rooms and would love it if you would give us another try when you come back to town. Your comments on your experience are extremely important to us and help me to coach and correct problems that we are having in order to minimize these cases.

This modest hotel is well cared for, though the decor is stuck in the teal blue and burgundy 80s. :) Small refrig and microwave in room, free high-speed wireless internet and free continental breakfast. Breakfast is all carbs - no fruit or protein - but the little dining room is well maintained by friendly staff with plenty of fresh, hot coffee.

If you are seeking luxury, this is not your place. Sheets are sheer but soft, blanket is exposed (not double-sheeted) and bedspread is old and rough textured. If you're looking for a clean, lower-priced room for a few nights, this hotel is ideal.

Room Tip: We were in a wheelchair-accessible room on the first floor - sounds like this is the best available...

Upon check-in, we went to 3rd floor and the stale smoke smell was terrible so we asked for another floor. Clerk said he would go spray. We went to 1st floor. The carpet looked like it had not seen a vac in a while. We came back in the first night and the desk clerk was over watching TV in the guest area not behind the desk to greet us. Check out day (2 nights was all we could take), we were greeted by a huge roach crawling up the wall in our room. Looks nice on the outside....different story on the inside. Lots of other options in the area. The location is great though. Too bad.

We stayed here based on a few TripAdvisor reviews. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but this place was not all that great for us.

On the outside, this place looks like it should be a nice hotel, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe we just got the wrong room.

Our room, a king suite, was a little run-down looking, and could have used a good cleaning, as there was dust on the shelves and TVs. The sofa was worn in a few places and the ceiling paint was discolored from some kind of leak. The bathroom was clean, but with the peeling wallpaper, it looked a little dingy. The sheets on the bed were thin enough to see through in places, and the air conditioner made a death-like gasp as it started and stopped, making a good night sleep hard to come by.

Room Tip: Ask to see a room before making a commitment.

The facility was clean and well maintained even though it was a bit older and a bit dated. The rooms are clean and quite large (we stayed in a King Bed room). It is a great value. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A couple guests caused some problems while I was there and I was impressed on how professional the staff was towards the guests and how well they handled the situation. It doesn't have the amenties of larger hotels but you aren't paying the higher price that you will find at a larger hotel. It did have a nice breakfast in the morning that was included with the room.

Room Tip: The king bed suite had a nice layout with a sitting area that was semi-divided from the bed to give...

We were very happy with our stay at Biltmore Suites. The employees were pleasant and helpful. The room, along with the entire hotel, was very clean and quiet. I would expect to pay more for the quality we received. (Please don't raise you price because of this review). If we come thru this area again, we will stay here. Thanks for making our trip a little better.
