“Wine Pairing Dinner excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

We have just enjoyed another excellent wine pairing dinner. Each of the five courses are paired with a wine that complements the Chefs fantastic food. A beautifull restaurant with gracious service .
This IS a restaurant worthy of a drive from Blue Ridge or any of the surrounding towns.

So glad you enjoyed last month's wine pairing dinner! We just wrapped June's dinner and are preparing for the July blind pairing - hope to see you at another dinner soon!

“Very good restaurant, especially for special occasions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Four of us went on a delayed Mothers Day dinner to this restaurant. Our friends had been here before but it was a first for us. We were greeted promptly and our server, David, was excellent throughout the evening. We sat in a booth in the inside back room. I tried a couple oyster shooters and they were excellent and priced good at $ 1.00 each. I also had the Escargot appetizer, which I thought could have used a little more garlic but they were good. Our main courses: I had the crawfish pasta and it was excellent. My wife had the shrimp pasta, excellent. One friend had a shrimp appetizer for a meal and one had a special of the day, a cod fish dinner served with garlic mashed potatoes. The wine prices are not outrageous and they have some priced as low as $ 6.00 and $ 8.00 a glass. Desert for all was the Ghiaradelli chocolate crepe and it was excellent. The restaurant became very busy as we left about 7:30 and I suggest reservations or you may not be able to be seated. The interior is excellent and I would recommend this restaurant and return. Some of the menu items are a little pricey, yet there are other entree items that are below $ 20.00, which I think is reasonably priced for a fine dining restaurant.

“Consistently excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

This is by far our favorite restaurant for dinner. Perhaps it is a little more expensive than expected for the area, but the food and service justify the difference. Every meal we have had at the Copper Door has been excellent, and the seasonings are spectacular. No boring sides acompany any meal, there is always a delectable flavor to whatever vegetable is served. Last night's carrots were terrific! Selfishly, we are a little worried too many will discover "our place". Reservations are suggested.

“Upscale and Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

This restaurant specializes in a menu with a twist.
The food is always good, the wait-staff attentive. It is a bit pricey for the area, but is far above most others around.
