I have traveled the coast for many years and really find it hard to find just a good ole 'beach' restaurant. By that I mean one that just has good food, especially seafood, and is not trying to be all things to all people. This is the kind of place that the locals come to and expect to have a great meal no matter if it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and tourists will feel like the ate great seafood and helps make their beach visit complete. We ate their for both lunch one day and breakfast the next. Would not have a problem eating every meal there except for the fact that we just wanted to try some other restaurants while we were there. Plate size pancakes, crispy bacon and perfectly cooked sunny side ups. For lunch I had Cobie as they were out of the special, Mahi. Cobie is a good whitefish that looks something like cod. It is a little more 'fishy', but not such that it is a turn-off. First time that I had it and it was very good, just a little stronger than the Mahi. Would order again without hesitation.
Everyone that works there seems to be old timers not workers that come in for the summer and then leave. I am sure that they do have some additional summer help, but the core people are there for real. You feel like one of the family when you walk in. I think if I had a chance to eat there a third time, they might have adopted me.
