Place is rustic, been there forever. Ordered the combination plate, BBQ with BBQ chicken (white meat) double collards. Sweet tea and plate of hush-puppies were almost enough of a meal, but still had room when my plate arrived. I'm a fan of eastern NC BBQ and this did not disappoint, it was not chopped to death and had a good flavor. The chicken did have a kinda gravy like sauce, but was really good, was perfect for dipping the final hush-puppies in. I don't like slaw or potato salad so the collards were my choice and they were quite good as well. Overall I cleaned my plate, ate the bowl of hush-puppies and a second glass of sweet tea. I was full and it was all good. The place looked like it was full of locals, but I did not feel out of place.....a lot of head nods and how you doing. The waitress I had was a very personable young lady and she deserved the tip I left her. Overall I can not find any fault with this place, and do highly recommend it.
