I stayed here the evening of 8/24/07. It is a well maintained property and hotel, the desk staff (Tina) was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. She made recommendations to area restaurants within walking distance. The pool is clean and the pool area tidy. Housekeeping is friendly as well. I would recommend staying here to any couple or family and will return!

I stayed here for one night on business. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was spotless. You couldnt ask for a cleaner room or hotel. They have a 24 whirlpool and gym. The breakfast was far more than I expected. Had both hot food(sausage and gravy) and cold. Definitely would reccommed this place to anyone.

Considering I work at a hotel, the room was wonderful! It was clean, and kept up nicely. The cleaning staff were superb. I had no problems with the billing, despite the last review. The breakfast was not as large as some of the other Wingates, but sufficient. I would stay here again if I were ever in the area again. The hotel was quiet all week long, and my room, no matter what time I left it, was always cleaned thoroughly. I couldn't ask for anything more. Central to a few restaurants, and not in a high traffic area, only ten minutes from downtown Raleigh. Stay here for a great rate and a quiet night!

When I arrived the lobby is very clean & nice as well as the rooms. Desk manager seemed agitated. I showed my credit card to get the room key and she charged 79.99 for the room. I told her I had paid the internet rate of 59.25 and received confirmation. She claimed she knew nothing about how the internet rate goes as the Inns are independently owned but she would honor it if I had proof. That aggravated me because I had to call the 800 number and they verified that I did indeed reserve the rate of $59.25 with my discover card to be billed upon arrival. The 800 number called the desk and verified I was to be charged $59.25. She assured me it would be adjusted. When I got home and checked my discover card charges not only did they not charge me $59.25 or $79.99 but $89.99. I called and was told again to call the 800 number who now has a "case number" which they hope to resolve within 10 days. REDICULOUS NEVER AGAIN will I stay here or probably not any Wingate Inns. I will try to update if they correct his but with the run around I seem to be getting..I doubt it!
