This was our first time ever skipping the kitchen on Thanksgiving and going out to eat. What a great choice!
We needed to make reservations ahead of time for this meal. This was no hassle and so easy. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and seated near at a long table for our party of 12. The dining areas were busy, but not packed. The staggered schedule for seating was perfect and we did not feel rushed at all. Our server was FANTASTIC and the buffet style dinner was perfect.
The flavor of each dish was wonderful - I have no idea how they prepared so much food with the perfect amount of seasoning. The selection included traditional turkey, ham, herb crusted roast beef, and trout cakes. The corn souffle was AMAZING (who know corn souffle could be amazing?) and the other side dishes were delicious as well. There were so many desserts to try that I had to taste two of them. I tasted a chocolate pie and a red velvet cheesecake and both were yummy.
Dinner was $25 adults, $12 for children, and free for 4 (I think) and under. A little more than my family usually spends when eating out, but it was worth every penny. I hope we go back again next year!
Some extra perks were the lodge entrance area (gorgeous decorations, ample seating, and cozy fireplace) & the hayrides & other activities going on at the resort.
