A group of us went to leatherwood camping with the horses in our Living Quarter trailers. We stayed 7 nights, 8 days. While the campground is very nice, the trails and surrounding area are beautiful, they do accommodate campers very well. They could use a dump station, and garbage pick up at the sites at least every other day. So if you are staying more than 5 nights, expect your black water tanks to be very full. Over the weekend, at least 4 of us had to go to the office at different times to ask if the barn person could come pick up our manure. The barns are far from the campsites, you need to drive to them. There is a bathroom and shower at one of the barns, but again, quite a hike or must drive. The front desk staff are not real friendly. I am sure they cater to folks that rent the cabins and buy property much better, after all that is their main business. I have stayed at much better and friendlier campgrounds for much less money.
