I don't know where to start. First let me say that all the other bad reviews you have read about this hotel are absolutely TRUE. The few good reviews had to be the owner or staff working there. I am an honest person and I would never give a bad review unless it was true. I believe in Karma. :) DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. If you do, you will regret it and then you will say I should have listened to tripadvisor. Let me start from the beginning. There is no signs except the one on the roof that you can't see. You can pull up in the front of the hotel, but you need to unload your bags then, because the parking lot is behind the hotel and it's a good walk to the front door. There are no bellmen, so you are on your own. Checked in and rushed into our room, because we were running late for a wedding. Turned on the A/C, did not work. Called the front desk reported it. Went to the front desk on the way out to the wedding and they said we are going to move you, the A/C does not work and we should have never put you in that room. So at 10pm after the wedding we have to pack our stuff and move to a room that is literally 1/2 the size of the 1st room. This A/C does not work. The bed is a little double bed. This is the biggie, there was NO BATHROOM SINK. The only sink in the room was the wet bar sink. I wouldn't even call it a wet bar. It was a counter w/a microwave on it, a refrig in a cut out spot and then a sink. The refrigerator was older than me. The bathroom tub had hairs all in it and they were not mine or my husbands, because we would NOT wash in it. By this time it's 11pm and I'm pissed. I call the front desk and the manager gives me a $7 discount and says the A/C does work. Well I calmly hang up and decide to handle it the next day. There was a ceiling fan in the room and that is the only reason I stayed in the room. The next day I explain my horrible experience and my rate went from $80 to $30 (that should tell you something). 4 days later I check my online banking and I'm charged the $80. I called the hotel and the imcompetent clerk says I don't know what to do. I had to tell him to find someone who does. I'm still waiting on a call from the manager. Needless to say I have contacted the BBB. Trust me when I say, that I have stayed in Roach Motels in my college days that was better than this hotel. The windows are dirty. The wall paper is peeling off the walls. The rooms smells like insect spray.

Since the new owner has taken over the old Radisson Prince Charles Hotel and changed it to the Clarion Prince Charles, it has changed dramatically. The once beautiful hotel has taken a dive and is bearly holding on. I have traveled and stayed here several times over the years and a year ago there were two managers here that although had a tough task ahead of them, they managed to make several guests stay including my own very comfortable and worry free. Eric Jones (front desk manager) and Troy Billups (General manager), were terrific they seemed to work very well together. I don't know what happened since I was here last, but I understand that the owner had foreclosed which has the hotel being run by the bank. The staff they have now are rude and have no idea what they are doing. I feel that they should at least bring back Eric jones and Troy Billups because they really knew what they were doing and cared about the guests of the hotel.

I just spent a week at this Hotel working on a consulting assignment nearby and I have to say that the other reviews I read here are either undeserved or old. Had I read them before I stayed here, I probably wouldn't have and that would have been a shame.

It's no Ritz Carlton, but the staff was courteous and attentive and my room was both unique and large compared to the cookie cutter hotels I usually stay at. I travel about 60%, so I appreciate something different once in a while.

As for cleanliness, my sheets and pillows were clean and the room seemed recently renovated. Though it seemed like many of the rooms were being redone while I was there, so maybe something new is afoot.

Anyway, for what its worth, I'd stay there again.

This place is so lousy I'm writing my review months later just to help out my fellow travelers.

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel almost a year ago and I still have nightmares. The rooms are dirty. The carpets are stained. The sheets may have been laundered--it was tough to tell. The service was exceptionally bad. My request for pillowcases was ignored for a time, until I was told they didn't have any fresh ones at all. (The hotel was largely empty at the time.)

There is no restaurant, though the hotel surely has enough trouble keeping itself going without one. What this says to me is this: every single travel site out there that lists their restaurant is not doing a very good job keeping its reviews very fresh.

Incidentally, the Clarion company says this is no longer their hotel. You cannot make a complaint to them.

My girlfriend's credit card was charged for an extra night some 2 months later, as well. It wouldn't surprise me if someone who runs this place is eventually arrested.

Those of you out there who found this place acceptable in the last few years...I have to meet some of you. What are you thinking?

This hotel was absolutely terrible. There were (are) mold spores the size of stalagmites hanging from the broken light in the bathroom, there was water damage on the bedroom ceiling, the room was not vacuumed (not that it mattered, as the carpet was torn in several places), and the air vents were covered in mold. Several guests left in horror. I honestly checked underneath my bed for a dead hooker before I left!
