Our party of six visited this restaurant on a Friday night to celebrate the birthday of our three year-old grandson. We had a party of six, including the birthday boy. It is a very casual place where you are brought a bucket of peanuts and welcomed to throw the hulls on the floor. Although the place was crowded, we were seated immediately. In addition to the peanuts, we were brought fresh-baked bread and whipped butter. The waitress took our order and offered a menu suggestion which offered a better option for our son-in-law. My husband and I ordered the grilled pork chops to share. We were puzzled that she asked how we wanted it cooked. We told her that of course we wanted it well done as it is unhealthy to eat undercooked pork. The food came and everyone was satisfied with their orders except my husband and I. The waitress brought a well-done porterhouse steak. We of course would not accept this and emphasized that we had ordered pork chops. She then left to turn in our corrected order. Of course everyone else had finished when we got our food. The pork chops were delicious and perfectly cooked. We were no longer hungry, however after munching on peanuts and bread. The waitress apologized but there was no offer of a discount or free dessert or anything. We would probably not return except as a place to take potentially restless children. They did give our grandson a birthday cheer which he enjoyed.
