“Think again before booking here...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

For my wedding I decided to reserve 10rooms with the Red Roof Inn because of the rave reviews I had read online. Little did I know that my experience and the experience for my guests would be far different than what I had read... First off, I feel absolutely horrible for the women working a this hotel. While they were wonderful and understanding, the men on this staff were less than friendly. To begin, the hotel made a clerical error when changing one of the rooms from my credit card to one of my guests and put a hold for nearly $300 on my card. Being the weekend of my wedding having access to these funds was critical. When I approached the manager, Jay, he first looked at me extended hand as if it was the most disgusting thing he'd ever seen and when confronted about the issue he was persistent in telling me they didn't "charge" me anything and I shouldn't have put the rooms in my name anyway. This man was completely disrespectful and impossible to talk to. But,this isn't the best part... A few nights later as my bridesmaids arrive. One, who travels with a small dag was placed in a room on a completely different floor from the rest of the party in a room that smelled terribly. When she asked Jesus, who was at the front desk why she was separated from the rest of our party she was told, "I didn't assign the rooms. What do you want me to do about it?"in a very smart tone. She responded by saying, well I don't know what can you do? Is it because I have a pet that we are not all together? She was then told that, "people traveling with pets do not have the same hygiene level as people who travel without pets." I have never heard in my life of people who are supposed to be customer service oriented talking to their guests this way. My friends and family members were completely disrespected and while a man may be shown respect every woman approaching that desk was belittled and talked down to. As someone who works in the eye of the public I am a strong believe that the best publicity is going to come from the word of mouth... The words I'm speaking are not good ones. This hotel should be on the next episode of hotel nightmares. Oh, and let's not forget that while 6 of my guests called, no one including myself was told hat he hotel was under MAJOR renovations. Not exactly the wedding weekend I expected for my guests or myself...

“The Red Roof Inn has a great front desk staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Fayetteville, NC for 5 nights and had incredibly great service from the front desk. They helped us with software issues with our computer, mailed packages for us and were overall extremely helpful. We will be leaving tomorrow hoping that all of the places we stay will be as joyful as this one.

“Good value for the money- clean rooms and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

My family and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn- Fayetteville on 8/25/12. We spent one night here on our way back home to NY. It was conveniently located off I-95, which factored into our reason for selecting this hotel. I booked this room after reading other Trip Advisor Reviews. I was a little hesitant to book but decided to give it a try. The first thing I did was to make sure I requested a pack and play, since I had a small child with me. I booked my room on the Red Roof Inn website as that is where I was able to find the cheapest price. I arrived at the hotel around 9 PM. I did not notice an odor or foul smell at all. I voiced my concerns (about smells, etc) to the person at the front desk who stated that the hotel was going to be renovated in the next few months. I also checked to ensure the pack and play was in my room and was informed it was. I had a room on the 3rd floor. Entering the elevator, it did smell of smoke but that was the only odor I noticed during my stay. The room was clean, albeit old. It was a fine room to sleep in for just one night. What I was not happy about was the pillow situation. They were flat and uncomfortable. I voiced this to the person checking me out the next morning and was again informed that the rooms were going to be renovated shortly. Breakfast was ok- donuts, muffins, cereal, toast, english muffins, bagels and apples. It's not the greatest selection but my kids were able to eat cereal so I have no complaints. I would stay here again if the need arose.

“great value for money spent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in September 2012, and it was a very positive experience. The management team was friendly and helpful in every respect. Mr. Patel, the owner/manager, went above and beyond to help with a computer problem, and was constantly working in all areas of the hotel to make the guests' stay enjoyable. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My husband used the gym facilities daily and enjoyed them. Location was amenable to running, as it is along a road that enters a residential neighborhood. WiFi was fast, and easy to set up. Cable TV offered plenty of choices. Great value for less money than surrounding hotels. Thanks all!
