“Quiet and Respectful Way to Remember Those Who Served”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

This is a very nice park and a wonderful way the city has honored its veterans and is definitely worth a visit. The park features tributes for each branch, several fountains with iconic imagery, a section of cast hands that represent each of the counties in NC, and if you get hot, you can go inside and look at what was, for me, the most humbling part: the dog tag display that has one dog tag for each North Carolinian who has lost his or her life in a war.
There is a film to watch, too, plus very friendly and helpful guides to answer questions.
This is definitely worth a visit!

“Beautiful Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Loved the casting of hands. Looks like an arc of invisible people with their hands up taking the oath to "support and defend..." The water displays are really lovely. Very special place.

“Just Makes Me Feel Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

During the month of May, Fayetteville celebrates with a field of honor across from Veterans Park. Folks purchase and dedicate full length USA flags on a 9' stafff which are displaced all over the field. Between the seemingly hundreds of full sized flags and all of the monuments, there truly portrays a spirit of patriotism throughout. It is a very moving and somewhat spiritual sight to see. I highly recommend this as a stop by which can last a while, especially if after the park, you walk up to the SOF and Airborne Museum.

Veterans park is a well layed out, and thoughtful place to visit. It helps one to never forget the sacrifice made to keep our great Country the best in the world.

“Veterans Memorial Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

This memorial to Veterans is a great tribute to our servicemen. They deserve a wonderful place like this where they can reflect and interact with other Veterans. The park honors the service from all branches of the mlitary. Highlights of the Park is the Wall of Hands Columns made from soil from counties in NC and the Visitors Center with a chandelier made from 33,500 "dog tags". I would recommend visiting this site.
