“Very fun afternoon with the Kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

We are geocachers and ended up at the museum during one of our expeditions. Was completely taken by surprise at the quality of the exhibits inside, my two older children (4yr,9yr) had a fantastic time as did their father (a retired Veteran) and I. Only cost was to give a donation which we did so happily!

“Amazing WWII Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Follow the Airborne and Special Forces through WWII and more recent engagements. The exhibits are full of artifacts and very well presented. I spent two hours, and need to return for another pass! And, its all free (donations accepted).

“Amazing collection of stuff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

First and foremost, if you are in North Carolina when it's hot and humid, the air conditioners in this building work incredibly well. It looks like a smallish, older building but it is nicely lit, and offers you a easily navigated labyrinth that takes you on a journey from World War I all the way through Iraq and Afghanistan. There are numerous spoils of war including busts of Hitler and Goering, war posters, and weapons. At the beginning/end there is a small gift shop with limited choice but very good prices. The museum is free but they have a donation box when you enter. Outside they have a collection of ground vehicles including an M551 tank and several aircraft. If you're in Fayetteville for any length of time this is a MUST visit museum.

“Outstanding”

So many people do not realize what so many soldiers have done for their country. I am proud of our deicated military soldiers and want them to know it.

“Really great museum and memorial garden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

Whether you have connections to the military or not, it is a worthwhile trip to see the outdoor gardens with sculptures and indoor exhibit. There's lots of other things to see and do in Fayetteville, but be sure to add the museum to the list if you go, you will be glad you did.
