“The Best Fairfield Inn in the Country”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

There is a very good reason that this hotel is the best of brand. It's not your typical Fairfield Inn. It is better designed, more attractive and very accommodating to its guests. And the amazing thing is that it is located in what would be the middle of nowhere, except for all of the wineries in this sleepy area of North Carolina.

Green Features: This is as "green" as it gets, but quality is not sacrificed anywhere.

Fairfield Inn and Suites is a nice hotel, but the rooms aren't really suites. They have a bed and a sofa-bed but they are in the same room. They do have a microwave and and a small frig in each room, which is very nice. This particular one has candy in dishes for visitors and an excellent breakfast in the morning as well as copies of the newspaper available for guests. Less than a mile away is an excellent seafood restaurant called Pirate's Cove.

Room Tip: Some "deluxe" suites have a half wall for privacy between the bed and the sofa, but the st...

We were going to stop in Christenburg, but wanted to drive more and the fairfield there recommended this one. Hard to believe this is a Fairfield property. Nice decor, outside patio with fireplace. Breakfast was very good. Beds comfortable. No complaints.

As soon as you walk in the door, the wonderful colors and modern style draw you in. The lady at the desk was very sweet and informative. No problems with the check in. I stayed in their King Suite and was really happy with it. Very clean and modern. You have two flat screen TV's (one in the bedroom area and a bigger one in the sitting area. Bose stereo, Keurig coffee maker, micro/fridge, large bathroom, and a desk area. The lobby has a large TV and tons of seating. They have an outside patio. Beautiful stone work, waterfall, and fireplace. (I should have taken a picture to show). The free breakfast is unbelievable. Sausage gravy with bisquits, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and all that other stuff that you usually only get at the other places:) You can take your breakfast out on the patio and eat by the waterfall! Just wonderful!!!! I didn't use the pool, so can't comment on it. I did use the fitness area. They have up to date equipment. Nice! There are two convenience stores within walking distance. It's in a quiet area, so that is nice:) I would recommend this hotel all day long:) I will stay again.

First the good - big rooms, friendly staff, lovely outside facilities and a great breakfast (much better than standard). Just off the highway. Now the not so great, smallish issues, radiator cover not secure, bathroom mirror loose light fixture needs cleaning and tightening. Nothing very bad and a sign of a busy hotel - but for those small issues an excellent. I would stay again and I recommend.

Nice breakfast and comfortable beds. There is a nice patio area in back to relax in the evening. The only downside to this Fairfield is the cleaning staff. Their cleaning could be better but I'd fire most of them for the way they slam their carts and garbage cans against the walls, damaging the paint and wallpaper.

This hotel is exceptional in every way. Well kept, clean, maintained and managed by someone that actually knows what they are doing and cares about the customers. From the entry to the main gathering room to the hallways to the rooms. All in tip-top condition and in every way. I am a Platinum member with Marriott and have stayed at 100's of Courtyards and JW brands that were 2-5 times the price of this hotel. NONE WERE AS NICE. In fact, I don't get the Courtyard experience at all. No free breakfast for premium members and I have NEVER been upgraded. Ever!
When arriving at this hotel, I was immediately upgraded, shown the dining area as they have FREE SUPPER on Monday nights because the local restaurants are closed on Mondays. So they have free food and lots of it. Round the clock coffee and tea which NO Courtyard has anywhere on the planet. They expect you to pay for it. Not here! Free around the clock located in the lobby. In your room they even have a Keurig coffee maker with coffee containers. Never seen that in any Marriott Brand no matter how highly rated or how over priced.
Full Free Breakfast in the morning for all guests and free internet to all guests as well. Courtyard brands need to send all their managers nationwide to this hotel and learn how to run and manage a hotel. I wont ever stay in another Courtyard paying a huge price for nothing again. Fairfield or Springhill Suites Brands of Marriotts are the best, the cheapest, the nicest and the customer gets the most bang for their buck. This particular one is truly exceptional.
