“Cute lunch spot!”

Nice little place, good service, very good food and reasonably priced. Their French Onion soup was spot on, and their specials are outstanding!

“Nice little place for a bite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We had lunch here during a weekday. It's a small setting but has very good food. The staff is very friendly & helpful. The bathroom is quite a trek.....but you get a nice tour of the rest of the building on your way. The restaurant is a cute place; it adds a lot of charm & warmth to a town that has so much potential.

“Great place for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

I eat at Sydney's regularly. It's clean, with good food and fast and friendly service. They usually have a homemade pie and/or cake by the register - be sure to check it out. The lemon cake is one of my favorites!

“Nice bistro fare in an upbeat and friendly setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2012

My husband and I ate breakfast at Sidney's Cafe and Bistro and thoroughly enjoyed it. Being proprietors at a local bed and breakfast, we are always on the lookout for interesting new dishes to enhance our breakfast menu at our B&B. Karen's frittata is delicious, and it is customize-able, too! She has refurbished the restaurant, which now showcases paintings from local artists, has been repainted in stylish colors, and she has added glass tops to the tables, which give it a nice crisp appearance. Sidney's is definitely a local gathering spot in downtown Elizabeth City, and we are so glad she chose to open her restaurant there!
