We were on a winery tour of the Yadkin Valley and happened upon Flint Hill Vineyards enroute to Raffaldini Vineyards. We saw their sign that they served lunch so we decided to stop. This winery proves that bigger isn't always better. This is a very small and quaint establishment with impeccable service. The restaurant is inside of a big, yellow charming house. Our server (Christy) greeted us with a smile and we were invited to look around the house. We were even allowed to peek into the kitchen and to meet the chef. She took group photos of us and made us feel very welcome. She did an excellent job of taking care of our party of 5... fulfilling every request. The lunch menu was gourmet quality yet reasonably priced under $10. We had the New York Strip steak sandwich served with a salad. It was delicious, tender and a large portion. After lunch, we sampled wines in the tasting room and I loved the Crushed Velvet. All together, we spent 2 hours here eating lunch, sampling wines, taking photos and talking with the staff. It was truly the highlight of our weekend in the NC wine country!
