“Must go place in Triangle area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

I was taken here for lunch and so glad we went. The food was outstanding. I had a reuben sandwich which was the best; the German potato salad was very good. Sit upstairs. You must stop at their bakery next door.

“One of my favorite date spots!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

I had been here for breakfast a few years ago but didn't think about it for dinner until it showed up on opentable one night while we were searching for a restaurant. I am so glad we decided to go that night because it is now a favorite! The entrees are delicious and varied. For example, my husband can get a steak or pork dish and I can get a vegetarian option and they are both top notch. You must save room for dessert! The pear tart blew my mind - all their fruit desserts have been great. Im a fruit dessert person, not chocolate, but I am sure those are good as well. Service is always great too. The waiters are personable and knowledgable. They make the experience even better! Go here and see for yourself!

“cake and pastry heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

If you are in the mood for pastries or cakes, you have got to stop here. They are the best and their coffee blend is awesome. If you are in the mood for breakfast, lunch or dinner they have a full menu. Their breakfast and lunch menues are ordinary menues (and the food is very good) but their dinner menu is full of things I can't even pronounce, let alone even know what they are. We have yet to try the dinners. You order in line and they will then bring your food to your table.

“Quirky atmosphere and good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Many friwnds recommended this place, but we hadn't gone assuming their wouldn't be many choices for gluten-free. While they don't have gluten-free bread or pastries, there are menu choices that work. Parking is definitely a challenge--we had to make a couple of circles to find a place as they were busy for weekend brunch. There is seating in a lovely outside garden area with water feature and lots of plants, bit it was hot, so we decoded to sit inside, but we snapped an upper level table with a good view of the garden. To order, you standing line, get a number stand and they bring the food to your table. Drinks and silverware are self serve. We ordered poached eggs and housemade sausage and an eggs Benedict with artichokes on brioche bread. It took about 20minutes to get our food, but it was hot on arrival. Scrambled eggs came instead of poached, but we decided not to switch out due to wait time. Each order came with a mixed fruit cup of watermelon, can't elope, honeydew, and grapes. I am not knowledgeable about German sausage, but the one served was similar to a bratwurst and came with a nice spicy mustard. The Benedict was nice, but the poached eggs were slightly overl-cooked. The atmosphere is quirky and fun. The food solid enough for a future return visit.
