“Slightly upscale Greek”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

Located in a strip mall on Hillandale Road off the interstate.

Ample parking.

Staff friendly, a little slow.

Atmosphere nice, acoustics not good for conversation.

I had the Caesar salad and the leg of lamb. The salad was unremarkable. The lamb was tasty, served off the bone, over a bed of mashed potatoes with feta cheese.

Not a bad meal, but the restaurant really didn't distinguish itself from the other fine restaurants Durham has to offer.

“Very Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

We went for lunch. The flaming cheese was very good. My lunch entree was good. I am not raving about this place, but it is worth a visit to see what you think. I would go back.

“no matter how you spell it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

old high school team mate took The Cheap Gourmet here, then bought, besides, although expressing horror at CG's ordering, for brunch, the Bleu Olive Benedict, actually an eggs benedict with pork belly, instead.... among best fries ever, and he tries not to eat a whole lot, for health purposes, but these were hard to resist... an extraordinary treat... not too terribly expensive, either, figure on about $50 for the three of us...

“Neighborhood gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

We are so lucky this is within walking distance of our house. Recently renovated and open with a new name in November this is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. Mediterranean influence abound. The Lamb burger is excellent as it the fried oyster salad. My husband's favorite is the flank steak. If you are in Durham for a visit this is a great place to stop. Walking distnace to the Marriott and Comfort Inn.
