The restaurant is in a rather odd location, but the food is more than decent. Considering the price, some of the dishes are quite a steal. The duck risotto is a must, and the red grouper is surprisingly good. Food here is not exactly what you call innovative, but it is very well-made, and the ingredients are absolutely first class. Even the tomatoes taste good. This restaurant is first-class in Durham standard, and can hold itself very favorably with those in more metropolitan cities (Chicago, DC, etc.) as well.
Service is a bit blah. Waiter didn't try to hide disappointment when we did not order wine. One of the bus boys is quite haughty. The tables are set up in a weird way that you are forced to sit to close to other people. But food is professionally served, not too quick, not too slow, just right. And waiters do seem knowledgeable about food.
