Although I live in the Raleigh/Durham area, my home is presently in the midst of some major renovations so I had to stay elsewhere during some of the stages of remodeling.

When I arrived late that evening, I saw that there was construction and painting equipment staged in the hotel parking lot (discovered that they also were going through a renovation process themselves) so grudgingly I prepared for the worst, making note of the angst and strains of my own remodeling.

Dereck, who was the manager there was very nice and accommodating during my check in and apologized for the construction inconvenience. He told me that not all of the rooms were done yet but he was giving me a newly renovated room (still I was expecting mediocre painting and old & out-dated furnishings) but when I got up to my room...WoW...what a exhilarating surprise!

This place was laid out! New flat screen T.V., HUGE king size bed, brand-spanking new AC unit with digital / touch-pad controls, wonderful interior design, and best of all...CLEAN!!! I could not believe it!

It was not the largest of rooms but who-da-heck cares! It was cozy and functional and it more than served my needs. In that wonderful bed, I slept like a baby...one of the best nights of sleep I had in months!

I actually called down the next morning and booked it for another day! Yeah, how about that!

**The only reason I did not give a full 5-stars was due to the exterior spray painting taking place as I awoke the next morning. I did not feel that the overspray was responsibly controlled to protect the cars in the parking lot from getting misted with wind-blown paint. Yes, it was a reflection of the contractors doing the work but it would have been nice to have been notified by the management of the choice to move our vehicles to the other side of the building where they were not painting (just a note...not really a gripe).**

Other than that...I loved it. I will definitely return there in the near future. It is not everyday I am impressed about anything these days but on this day, I was and that deserves recognition!
