Please anyone thinking of staying here think again, filthy, cobwebs in most corners stains on the drapes ,not sure what of, but smelt terrible, complained to night staff and told we are free to leave? would not refund, bathroom, hadn´t been cleaned when i complained, they said it could be my hair in the shower and toilet, sorry no offense but me and shaun are not ginger.
try an indipendant family owned motel or bed and breakfast where they seem to take more care, and they are value for money, we did and were pleased.

The rooms were very nice - clean - friendly staff! We went for a relaxing weekend getaway and spent a great deal of time around the hotel.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel during a vacation to the area and we were very impressed with this hotel. We have stayed in many hotels in recent years and this is one of our favorites. The rooms are very clean, the public areas are beautifully maintained and the staff is very professional.

We enjoyed the pool & whirlpool. The exercise room is top of the line. We also used the business center to search for some travel plans. The large jar of water with fruit in the lobby is a very nice touch. The beds are very comfortable and the linens appeared to be new. I don't normally walk bare footed in hotel rooms or in the shower, but I was very comfortable here. We sat outside in the late evenings and enjoyed the warm weather. We had a great time. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area and want to relax and be comfortable.

The location is easy on/off of I-40 and it is simple to get most anywhere.

My wife and I stayed one Friday night to pick up my son from Duke. Hotel is about 10 minutes from the university. Typical Marriott but nice and recently renovated. Staff was very friendly. Adequate fitness room with 3 eliptical machines, 3 treadmills, and free weights. Even had fruit, granola bars at the fitness room in case you get hungry. Very comfortable bed with nice big screen TV. Did not have HBO though. Hotel has a business center so you can check your email without paying for internet access. Plenty of parking which is also complimentary. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Pretty good breakfast buffet.

I stay 50-60 Marriott property nights a year and this hotel is BELOW PAR.. It is not below par becuase only one elevator has worked the past 3 times I have stayed there but becuase.. they say they do not offer HBO becuase it is a "Family" hotel however they have all the porn you want if you pay for it. I am currently at the hotel as I write this and was told by one of the hotel Staff that the management CUT OUT HBO so people would pay for Movies and the other offerings on TV.. This is really nickle and diming especially since I spent $265.00 a night and could have had everything this hotel offers (and more)for a much lower price. I really like Marriott properties but this one is really a dissapointment, they are doing the most basic upgrades for Marriotts and looking to cut costs at YOUR expenses.. I have buyers remorse and I really really never have that staying at a hotel..

Stayed here free (Marriott points) 1 night in mid-February 2009 to run errands for upcoming family wedding to be held nearby. The hotel is fine but it annoys me that the higher up a hotel chain's "quality" ones goes the more expensive for services. For example, wireless internet service was $9.00 a day in the room - I recently stayed in a Fairfiled Inn by Marriott and wireless access was free (as it is in Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, etc.) I don't get it - It is almost as mystifying airfare pricing!

We ate in the lobby restuarant and that had good food at resonable prices - I was surprised. Rooms were standard hotel fare - furniture I must admit was nicer that at the Fairfield Inn but the room was no larger nor were their more ammenities. Tried to check out by calling front desk - as directed by the literature in the room and on the room folio - no one answered so after 8 rings I hung up. In general front desk staff were not very friendly or welcoming. I would not stay here again - unless I had points that allowed me to stay for free again. I would certainly not pay to stay here.

I stayed at the Marriott Research Triangle Park for 4 nights in January 2009 while on business in RTP. If you stay at a lot of hotels, as I do, you know what differentiates a great hotel from an ok one.

The cons: no HBO, my room had no cream/sugar packets, the LCD screens had analog TV with fuzzy pictures, the tile in the bathroom needed to be steam cleaned.... These are little things, but they make a huge difference to the business traveler.

The pros: comfortable bed and courteous service within a few minutes drive of major RTP companies.

When booking a 4-star hotel, as this one is billed, there's an expectation of a number of needs being met, and overall this Marriott, while comfortable, doesn't meet the bill. One is better off staying in the well appointed Hilton or Sheraton, both of which the business traveler the expected amenities.

Let's put it this way, instead of watching HBO or TV, I am surfing the web and took the time to write this review.
