“Absolute Must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

This spot is a true gem of Durham. Best for brunch but great anytime. Come with the family, for a business meeting or just to shop their sundries. This place has it all.

I love everything about the ultra-fresh, local and creative dishes. Supporting local farmers is important to me and i prefer to patronize the businesses that think the same. The coffee is great and the pastries are always well made and tasty. I prefer to dine outside on their patio.

I frequently recommend this place to my friends and family and will continue to do so.

“Great gifts for the lady in your life”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014

This review is for the retail gift shop element of Parker & Otis as I have never dined there. The merchandise sold at P&O is gold for any occasion where you need a "fun" gift for a female. I went there to get a Mother's Day gift and got a great Jonathan Adler item for my Mom plus a Scout bag for my girlfriend. While the store is somewhat pricey, the items are of solid quality and guaranteed to please the lady in your life. Plus the folks at the register are pros at gift wrapping...definitely a plus if you're a guy. Highly recommended!

“Relaxing breakfast”

The only critique I have is that it is a very self serve atmosphere. The food was good and we never felt rushed.

“Excellent deli lunches, fun, quirky retail space, nice wine selection, painfully slow service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2014

This is a favorite spot of mine in Durham. The deli sandwiches are well made and delicious. Portions are very large, so these may easily be split and shared or saved for later. The lines at the sandwich counter are long all afternoon and the kitchen is very slow: I must have waited 45 minutes for 3 sandwiches. I guess they want customers to browse the eclectic selections in the retail space. They have a nice selection of bottled wines from which to choose.

“Great lunch options- fun decor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2014

Forgot about this place for awhile but glad we decided to go after driving by. Great place to relax and chat over breakfast or excellent turkey sandwich with fresh made salad. Coffee good too. Bathrooms a bit tricky, not too available and quickly noted that employees seemed to be using them for an extended phone/email break?
