We stayed at the La Quinta in Durham while visting on a job hunting trip. We were pleased with the room, which was more spacious than other "suite" style hotels that we have stayed at the in the past. Our room, and the hotel in general, was very clean. I'm guessing that the hotel is only a few years old.

The hotel is centrally located and is only about 4 miles from downtown Durham. During a past visit we stayed at a different hotel located in the Research Park area which was a longer distance away.

When we experienced a problem with the toilet constantly running, a simple mention to the front desk was all that was required; when we returned to our room later that day the problem was fixed.

My only complaint is that the parking spaces in the parking lot are too narrow, which made parking a little difficult, especially in the rental car which was larger than what I am used to driving.

Beyond that one minor gripe, we would certainly stay here again.

We had to make several trips to this area to take advantage of the doctors at Duke University Medical Center. This is a very convenient, new hotel at a very good price. The lobby is great, continental breakfast included every morning, great outdoor sitting area and glassed in - indoor pool. Room was great, get one that has the refrigerator and microwave. Gym is great also. Good neighborhood, close to highway and new mall. I highly recommend this hotel over the other ones closer in to Duke. This one is nicer and only 10 minutes away.

One of the nation's best La Quinta's....fine staff, immaculate rooms and stunning lobby area........nice cont. breakfast and quiet location.........great prices........a winner!!!!!!!!1
