We walked in late on a Saturday night and got a special rate. We were happy to have a room at that point. The room was neat and clean. The ceiling fan was noisy, and the light in the bath was somewhat dim. The front desk staff was very nice. This hotel was OK as a last minute choice.

We stayed for 3 nights the weekend of Oct 19-22. We had a King Suite. The layout of the room was a bit odd, but nothing we couldn't deal with. I was a bit concerned about how close we were to I-85 but we didn't hear any noise.

Apparently we were in a different part of this hotel than some of the other reviewers. Our room was very clean. The only sign of wear I found was about a 2 inch pull in the carpet from the threshold going into the bathroom.

Our room, hall, elevator did not look old or abused whatsoever.

We had a hairdryer, iron/ironing board, mini refrigerator, microwave, free wireless internet access, sofa and chair.

If we would need to go back to the area, I wouldn't hesistate to stay here again.

This place was average and unfortunately, we won't stay again. It was $265 for 2 nights and not special enough for the money. Our room's toilet backed up three times upon arrival. Although nonsmoking, it did have a hint of smoking odor. We were politely offered a switch of rooms. We switched (from this handicap) to another regular room since there was not another handicap. The new room was also very spacious with 2 very comfortable beds and nice comforters. The sleep sofa mattress was badly worn and had a large see thru rip at the bottom. Didn't use it. The fridge didn't cool well and had water on the bottom. The iron leaked. The goose down pillows were uncomfortable and our heads sank to the bottom with no support. The highway traffic was heard all night over the ac on high speed so we didn't sleep well. Would choose a place a bit further from the main road. The pool room had a sterile, "un-fun" feeling. Could use some pictures, plants to cozy it up. Breakfast variety was good, but plates too mini for making a large waffle on our second morning. Husband opened carton of milk that was two days from expiration, and it had already spoiled. The staff was pleasant throughout the building. The rooms were very clean. The shower had goot hot water power. Toilet flushed better in second room. Location close to mall and Lowes Speedway. The second room (not handicap) had two TV's which was good for the kids. Microwave was good with coffee pot. This place was just ok. The best description is spaciousness and clean.. Have stayed in much nicer suites for less money. No pleasing memories created at this place. The details make a difference.

Don't know how old this hotel is but it's beginning to show its age in plumbing (bathroom sink drains slowly; toilet flushes a little weakly; hot water temp isn't consistent) and an faint underlying smokey odor. The first room we checked into smelled sour and we switched. Otherwise, the room is nice, bright, clean and the common areas are fine. Problem is the price of $109 was high for what you get and there are some interesting alternatives in the immediate area (Comfort Suites; Hampton Inn and Suites) which we didn't tour but they just look newer. Staff is friendly and accomodating. All in all, I would probably try one of the alternatives next time.
