It was a beautiful day. We took my sister and brother-in-law and we walked up to the falls and had a picnic lunch. My sister and I walked up to Exlamation Point. The fall colors were a sight to see. Awesome. I would recomment this to everyone.

“pretty - but so, so crowded”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Chimney Rock Park is undeniably a beautiful setting, let me say that right up front. But don't expect real hiking or any quiet moments that you will not have to share with at least a dozen other people. The trails are mostly paved, with lots of stairs, and not very long. If you do not mind that type of thing, and are not bothered by crowds, then this is a lovely attraction. I visited on a Saturday in October, so perhaps it is more serene on weekdays or off-peak times of year.

“On Top of the World”

"Spectacular view" does not say enough about this awesome natural wonder. Just outside of Asheville, N.C., Chimney Rock is an amazing site to behold and to climb. You know that you are in for something special when you arrive on the parking lot and take in that view even before you get to the top. You can climb the stairs to the top or take the elevator. Either way you choose, you will never forget the view from the top. You will be thankful to God for the gifts of the mountains and the views.

“Great hiking trails, exquisite scenery, helpful staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

We had a terrific day hiking Chimney Rock. Took the elevator to the first stop then hiked for hours. The waterfalls are beautiful, the trees are changing colors and look like a color palette. The trails are well marked and points of interest are posted along the way. There were plenty of very knowledgeable staff eager to answer questions, extremely helpful. The snack bar had good coffee, several choices for light meals, and convenient restrooms.

“Great day at Chimney Rock”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

Views are not to be missed! 38 second trip on the elevator (goes up 26 stories) then a bit of a climb up a long flight of stairs to the top of Chimney Rock...but well worth it. Don't leave your camera at home!
