“Good stay if not staying in Harrah's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Just spent two days at this hotel, and it is a good value and location. The walk from the hotel to the casino is less that five minutes. You walk out the door accross the street and you are in the lobby of Harrah's. The room was kind of small, but the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was what you would expect for a hotel breakfast. The fitness center was three machines, and they really need to update that area. I did enjoy the stay here very much and would stay at this hotel again on a trip to Cherokee. If you like to gamble that this is a good place to stay if you are heading to Cherokee.

Room Tip: You can't buy beer on the reservation, so if you want a drink pick up a six pack before you get...

The positives stop with the convenience to the NC entry point into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the gigantic Harrahs casino (across the road). We are Marriott frequent stay members so we seek out and stay in a number of Marriott branded properties....this is just average even for a Fairfield. For an area relying on tourist dollars, staff in general in the area seem apathetic to providing decent customer service. The rooms are in need of an upgrade and we were placed directly across from the conference center, oddly enough, on the third floor. Weekend rates jumped nearly 100% for our room with no major event in the area.

Room Tip: If you want to sleep in and there is a conference in the hotel - stay on a lower floor or at the end...

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Cherokee NC memorial day weekend. We had come to Cherokee for a concert at Harrah's casino, and this was the perfect place to stay. Across the street from the casino so no need to hunt parking place! The room was nice--smaller than some we have stayed in, but for the two of us it was plenty big. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

As usual, the Fairfield Inn is a good safe choice. The beds are comfortable, the room a good size, noise levels are low, and there's plenty of hot water for a long shower. The breakfast is ample with the usual waffles, cereals, breads, and coffee. It's right across from the Harrah Casino if you're so inclined. And there is a small reservation tax levy.

I travel quite a bit and I'm an admitted Marriott snob (I love the points). This is the only Marriott in the area that I visit often so I stay here. The hotel is good and clean and fairly inexpensive. It's also across the street from the casino, so for eating and gambling, it's in a nice location.

This hotel should be rated higher than #9 in Cherokee! After a very disappointing start at the Comfort Inn we moved to Fairfield Inn. We got a king suite and were very happy with the room. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were nice and accommodating. The free hot breakfast was ok, but it's free! Overall a great stay.

This hotel is nice and just across the street from the casino which makes the location ideal. We asked for early check-in when we made our reservation and our room was ready by 12 noon, although we had arrived earlier. The front desk stated that the previous night they were completely booked and all the rooms needed to be cleaned. Our king room which we paid $129 plus taxes was really small, almost a square box with the bathroom added on. Noise was a problem during the night. Someone around 2:00am was banging on one of the doors on our floor -- guess they didn't have a keycard. Bed was comfortable, pillows were good and the bath towels were large and fluffy. Breakfast was great. They had coffee in the lobby by 6am, and hot and cold breakfast items available by 6:30. In addition to make-your-own waffles, they served sausage patties, scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, pastry, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, etc.
