“WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2011

The Inn is wonderful, the rooms very clean, the beds tremendously comfortable, the breakfast delicious and the stay was overall GREAT! A bit pricey but worth the stay if you are not on a strict budget!

Room Tip: Call ahead and ask for a deal, maybe AARP, AAA or something like that!

Located in Cherokee, NC, in the quiet part of town (not too close to the casino) and near the entrance of the Great Smoky Mtn National Park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room we had was on the second floor and was clean and comfortable. We had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The hotel is very clean and updated. There is a breakfast bar next to the lobby with cereal, breads, toaster waffles, french toast, mini muffins, pastries, bagels, yogurt and fruit. Beverages include coffee, milk, apple juice and orange juice. Open from 7am to 10am Simple, but gets the job done for a day of hiking in the Great Smoky Mtn National Park. We checked out the casino which is about 10 minutes away. Typical casino atmosphere. Mostly slot machines. One thing that was interesting was the "card" table games were all digital, no cards.
We ate at Granny's Restaurant after a day of hiking. Weren't looking for anything fancy. $12 per person. Granny's is a buffet with homestyle food. Decent salad bar, red/russet potatoes, mac n cheese, green beans, corn on the cob, BBQ ribs, fried chicken, fried fish, roast beef. For me the fried chicken was the best of the group, ribs were a bit tough and the roast beef was a little too well done. There's no real dessert, except for pudding. I did like the baked apples/sauce. Granny's is located a couple of miles past the casino if you are driving from the hotel. There of many other restaurants near the casino as well. Take note: most of the restaurants close by 9pm, as does most of the shops. There is a Hardee's near the hotel that is open until 10p and Wendy's near the casino that is open until 1am. We did get a recommendation for Paul's restaurant, which is close to the hotel, but didn't have time to try it. Was a great way to start our trip. We would definitely stay again!

This is a wonderful place to stay. The place is newly remodeled and very clean. Bedding is very comfy- pillow top mattress, big fluffy pillows, etc. Brand new towels in the bathroom. The front desk staff was wonderful on both checkin and check out. Complementary choc chip cookies served in the lobby. The complementary breakfast has a good variety of healthy choices as well as some good stuff: fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, french toast, waffles, danish etc. The motel is just out of the busy area, no traffic noise but close enough to reach town within a couple minutes. Would def. stay here again when we come back this way.

Very clean. They can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable,Everyone VERY helpful.-Beds are the best we have slept in since we left home in Mid-Sept.
Extended our stay because of the way everyone cares. I had a computer problem and they had a tech come in and fix it at no charge to me. When was the last time you were offered this service. Continental Breakfast is well stocked, waffles, french toast++++
Would I return ?? I don't want to leave

Room Tip: Book early

We have traveled all over, but this is truly one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. Friendly staff, impeccably clean, luxurious bedding, well-stocked breakfast area. We actually met the owner, who said they had recently refurbished everything, and it seemed like a brand-new hotel! We had reservations for 2 nights in Cherokee, and then 2 nights in Gatlinburg, but we hated to leave. Next year we'll just spend our whole vacation in Cherokee at the Baymont! The hotel is in a nice quiet area - very relaxing.

Our family had a wonderful trip to Cherokee for the week-end and enjoyed our stay at the Baymont Inn very much. The facility was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The decor was lovely and the beds were VERY comfortable. Having a small refrigerator and coffee pot in the room was a bonus. We also were traveling with an infant and they provided a portable crib at no extra cost. Cherokee has lots to offer families from beautiful mountains and rivers to good restraurants and shopping. We will definitely stay there again

Our family stayed in a very clean room and was surrounded by friendly employees during our stay. The continental breakfast was great and there was a large selection of breakfast foods. The beds were comfortable, the location was convenient, and we enjoyed our stay. We plan to stay in this same location next year when we travel back to Cherokee. Our kids also loved playing in the pool!
