“Wonderful history lesson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

This is a very new, well thought out museum. My only suggestion is the first area is a film which is very good but requires an attendant to start the presentation. Since people come at different times, I think it would help the flow if there was a button that people could start the film as they arrive. Other than that, it was wonderful -nice mix of exhibits, audios, dioramas nd presentation of the Cherokee people. Not to miss

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

I went here in January this year and I have been here a lot since then because I don't want to miss anything new or old that I haven't seen....I met the man that is on the front of the brochure and he was so kind.....I love Cherokee and hope to be there permanently soon....they want their lost children home you know and I am a lost Cherokee Indian looking for peace and wisdom from my elders and need to be home.......it is so beautiful there and I feel at peace in the mtns......this museum was an excellent way to spend an afternoon. I highly recommend going there!!!!!!

“Worth the visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We spent about 1 1/2-2 hours at the museum. It is filled with artifacts and a complete history of the Cherokee. My father who is an avid collector of American Indian artifacts said it was the best part of his trip! They also have a wonderful gift shop with many books, artwork, and souvenirs. It was also a beautiful drive from Gatlinburg through the mountains!
