I arrived in Charlotte at about 9:30 PM, and called for the shuttle. I was told it was on its way, and went outside to wait. After about 20 minutes, most other hotel shuttles had been there and gone, but still no shuttle. I called again, and was told that the driver had just left the airport when I called, but would be heading back shortly. It finally arrived about 15 minutes later. The ride between the hotel and the airport takes about 6-8 minutes.
When I told the driver I had been waiting over 1/2 hour, her reply was "well, I was upstairs when you called" (whatever that's supposed to mean). When I arrived at the hotel and complained about the wait, the woman at the front desk really didn't seem to care.
The hotel itself was fine. Clean/ comfortable. They have a pool where you can swim between the indoor and outdoors which seems fun. Room service seemed a bit pricy -- a chicken Caesar salad and a slice of cake was over $30.
Internet costs $10 per day
When I called for room service in the morning, no one answered the phone on my first 2 tries, and the call kept bouncing back to the hotel operator. She finally told me she would have the restaurant call me.
So I guess the bottom line is that the hotel is nice, but the staff is a bit slow and apathetic.
