The first room we were given had no cold water and the sink was broken. They moved us to a second room which was non-smoking, but smelled like an ashtray! The floor was not clean and I cleaned the bathroom myself before using it. After checking out, I realized I had left my cell phone in the room. Because I was at a conference, I could not return until 6 pm at night. I was told the cell phone had been put in the manager's office which was locked and that no one else had a key to the office. They then informed me that they were not allowed to call the manager back in to open the office. They said I would have to call him the next business day. I did and was told my phone would be put in the mail that day. One week later I had not received my phone. I called again only to be told that the phone was still sitting on the manager's desk. It was only after threatening to call the LaQuinta "headquarters" and complaining that I received my phone back. I will never be returning to this hotel again.
Moral of the story: Be sure you bring disinfectant with you and have gotten everything that is yours before you check out of this place. Better yet, book a room somewhere else.
