Vehicle broken into four spaces from front door. No security. Police state this is regular occurence. No appology from manager. Would not even call police for me. Stated they had no responsibilty.

In 2004, my review said that there was "room for improvement."
I have stayed at this hotel repeatedly since Priceline consistently provided this property at an embarassingly low price.
I am pleased to report that it does appear that the rooms have been redone and the much of the old staff has been replaced with an upbeat, motivated group. While I would not rate this hotel as excellent, it was certainly comfortable and problem-free. I do applaud the management for the changes and I would not write this hotel off for a future stay--even at regular internet rates.

This hotel was excellent. We booked through hotwire.com. It was clean, beautiful, comfortable, and a great value. Also, the staff was very friendly, and the service was excellent. We accidently left a garment bag in the closet. When we realized this we were 8 hours away. When we called we were told they would mail it to our home address at no charge. It arrived at our house within three days. We definitely recommend this hotel.

My three friends and I booked a four night stay at the Holiday Inn, University Park, in Charlotte, NC through Hotwire. After booking, I called to request adjoining non-smoking rooms with two beds in each room. The staff was welcoming, professional, and courteous both times I phoned and was able to accommodate our request. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious.

There were a number of shops and restaurants within walking distance. We especially enjoyed Boardwalk Billy's Raw Bar and BBQ.

My only complaint is that, like in many hotels, the walls were thin. I woke before dawn one morning thinking our alarm clock was buzzing but the noise was coming from the room next door. When after 15 minutes it hadn’t stopped, I called the front desk. A hotel employee came up and checked. The room wasn’t occupied so he was able to go in and shut the alarm off. Again, the staff responded quickly and politely.

We had a wonderful visit in Charlotte and would recommend this hotel as home base. The location was convenient for exploring the area, the service was excellent and the accommodations were a great value.
