For a one-night stay for a reception close to the airport, this hotel was ABOVE expected!!!!
Room was Remodeled in Chic Asain Taste, with WIDE screen, VERY Comfy Bed, plenty of PILLOWS, and CLEAN Bathroom!
Close to Airport, well worth the deal we got on www.hotwire.com!

This is a renovated hotel and they did a nice job. Very clean and the bed was VERY good. The internet connection was slow and the complimentary breakfast was ok, nothing special.

Upon first impression, I would have rated higher but I probably got about 2 hours sleep because of noise factors....most that are beyond the hotel's control. The only thing that would be within their control was the A/C/heater....it's one of those that turn on and off all night. When it ran, it pretty much drowned out most noises but the minute it stopped, you could hear the planes landing and the airport is obviously active at midnight. But I did pick this hotel because of the close proximity to the airport.

But the worst factor was the people, not sure if they were guests or neighborhood hoodlums. About 2 am, a very loud fight broke out in the parking lot outside the window. The police were called and they patrolled the area at least 5 times. On one hand, it was for our safety but on the other hand, having to deal with the bright lights peering through our shades kept us up. And just when it became peaceful again, drunk people were very loud in the hallways. By 5 am, showers were running and you could hear the plumbing noises.

So even with such a comfortable bed, we got very little sleep.

I was overall very satisfied w/ my stay. I am a young woman that was travelling alone for a trade show downtown. The room was nice, but I had holes in my sheets. Thankfully it was a king bed so I was able to avoid them. The shower curtain wouldn't stay shut because the rod curved outward. The door lock on the bathroom was from the outside of it so you could accidentally get locked into the bathroom. I had to wait for one of their employees to finish using the computer so I could get online. The breakfast was not very well stocked. My room was right off the elevator, but it was pretty quiet. The staff is very attentative and even though folks say it is in a bad neighborhood, I felt safe. I would recommend this property because the positive outweighs the negative in my opinion.

AMAZING PLACE!!!! The room was completley, 100% clean, the beds were sooooo comfy, the staff was extremley friendly, and the breakfast was great! They also had 24 hour security, which made me feel safer. I loved the location of the hotel, which is back enough to be away from the congestion of Charlotte, but close enough to I-85 to throw a rock at it! This is hands down the best hotel I've stayed at! And they have no pet fee!!! I can't wait to stay there again next year!!! : D
