I missed my flight and was given a $55 voucher for this property. It's about 15 min. from the airport and they had a shuttle that took us and brought us back in the AM. The guy that checked our van in was friendly and efficient, dealing with the stress well. My only fault with him was that he mentioned everyone's room number, loud enough for everyone to hear. I asked him not to announce mine and he respected my wishes. He signed me up for the 5:30AM shuttle and asked if I'd like a wake-up call. The room was surprisingly big and very comfortable. At 1AM (when I got in) the tv next door to me was quite loud but I made a quick call to the guest and he turned the volume down. I was on the first floor and heard a lot of folks going to the elevator but it wasn't too bad. Where I was super impressed was that the breakfast buffet didn't start until 6am but the same front desk guy knowing that a bunch of cranky passengers were on the 5:30 shuttle had breakfast ready around 5:15 for us. It was a well-appreciated touch.

We needed an overnite room b/c of a missed connection. We left 3 other hotels that we called from the airport ad board because they were substandard or raised their rates after we got there. When we finally arrived at this particular hotel, which is 20 - 30 min. from the airport, we were very glad we didn't settle. First of all the staff was very friendly, understanding and empathic to our situation. They didn't switch rates on us once we got there like previous hotels had done. Our room was clean & accomodating. The continential breakfast of bananas, mini muffins, & juice or coffee was adequate for 6:00 a.m. which is when we had to be back at the airport. I'm sorry we couldn't stay to see what else the area had to offer.

I booked this hotel as a free Choice Privileges night after a day of Black Friday shopping at a local mall. The hotel is set back from I-77 and is a former Hampton Inn. A few restaurants are nearby, though the closest ones are in the Marriott and Hilton hotels across the street.

The lobby is nicely decorated, with a fireplace and Christmas decorations set up. Check-in was prompt and the staff was very friendly and polite.

My room was 430, on the top floor. Although the room was next to a mechanical room (and you can hear it outside the room), the guest room itself was very well soundproofed - I didn't hear a sound from the mechanical room once I shut my door. Needless to say, I didn't hear a single outside noise during my one-night stay.

The room itself had a king bed and sofa. It was exceptionally clean upon arrival. Despite having stayed at two Quality Inns recently, this was the first one with the chain's new bedding. It is wonderful - nice, soft linens and a very comfortable mattress. Much of the furniture is also new - though a few pieces are showing their age, it didn't affect the quality of my stay. My room had a large desk and micro-fridge. The bathroom was also clean, with a new granite-look countertop.

Breakfast was good and included a bit more than continental fare. And the staff is willing to bend over backward for guests - I overheard the morning desk clerk tell a guest that, because their airport shuttle van wasn't in, the hotel would pay the cost of a taxi from the airport.

This is a very well-run property with clean, comfortable rooms and a helpful staff. Although my stay was free, I would not hesitate to stay again even at full price (which I believe was around $75.)

Excellant! Was booked here by USAIR because of a missed connction. Was tired, hungry and just plain cranky!! There were several of us at the front desk at ll:30 pm. Tina the clerk was so nice and helpful!!! She got our rooms for us immediately and even got the driver of the shuttle to take a couple of girls to the local drivethrough for a quick meal.
The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Wakeup call right on time. Got to the airport with time to spare and even managed some of the breakfast which wasn't open for another hour.
Thanks to Tina for helping a bunch of weary travelers!!!

I stayed here four days on an impromptu visit to Charlotte. The Hotel is convenient to the airport, the City, the southern suburbs, and highway. The Management was superb and the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and the mattress and bedding were terrific (for a change). The hotel offers smoking and non-smoking rooms, a full breakfast is included in the rate, and I was very satisfied with my experience. This hotel is a great value.

  • Liked — Great value, great service.
  • Disliked — Older room decor.
