I booked this hotel as a free Choice Privileges night after a day of Black Friday shopping at a local mall. The hotel is set back from I-77 and is a former Hampton Inn. A few restaurants are nearby, though the closest ones are in the Marriott and Hilton hotels across the street.
The lobby is nicely decorated, with a fireplace and Christmas decorations set up. Check-in was prompt and the staff was very friendly and polite.
My room was 430, on the top floor. Although the room was next to a mechanical room (and you can hear it outside the room), the guest room itself was very well soundproofed - I didn't hear a sound from the mechanical room once I shut my door. Needless to say, I didn't hear a single outside noise during my one-night stay.
The room itself had a king bed and sofa. It was exceptionally clean upon arrival. Despite having stayed at two Quality Inns recently, this was the first one with the chain's new bedding. It is wonderful - nice, soft linens and a very comfortable mattress. Much of the furniture is also new - though a few pieces are showing their age, it didn't affect the quality of my stay. My room had a large desk and micro-fridge. The bathroom was also clean, with a new granite-look countertop.
Breakfast was good and included a bit more than continental fare. And the staff is willing to bend over backward for guests - I overheard the morning desk clerk tell a guest that, because their airport shuttle van wasn't in, the hotel would pay the cost of a taxi from the airport.
This is a very well-run property with clean, comfortable rooms and a helpful staff. Although my stay was free, I would not hesitate to stay again even at full price (which I believe was around $75.)
