Oh, my..where do I start... As soon as we pulled in the parking lot, we were approached by a scary man begging for cigarettes and money. He was looking to see what he could steal from my car as I was trying to get my things out and hide the other stuff from view. That was at 6pm in the rain. When we came back from dinner, we couldn't even get out of the car.. he was back and walked right up to my car window!!! I had to call the front desk to tell them to get security so I could get in my room! If I wasn't staying there with a friend and about 10 guys to protect me, I NEVER would have stayed here! (My friend was working for a band in the city..the crew and band were staying here.) I also saw a man looking in the rooms and banging on the doors to beg for money and such. My friends said they saw him looking to break into the cars in the lot.

Previous reviews were right on the money. The place is in need of a bulldozer not renovation. The staff was very nice but the place is a dump. It was not too noisy but our room was away from the street.

It seems to me that the owners of this property are just waiting until the time comes to knock the building down. The property next door was recently demolished.

This hotel (more like a motel, really, with room access from outside) is cheap and in a great location (walk to downtown no problem), but it's sorely in need of maintenance. I also agree that there is a mold or other air-quality related issue. My room was musty at best, and there were some other regrettable odors, too.

In all candor, I opted not to sleep in the bed. If I had tongs, I would have used them instead of my fingers to remove the bedspread (which had stains aplenty). I then slept in my clothes on top of the bed. I then seriously considered burning the clothes when I returned home.

My guess is that most guests don't have a car with them, but know this if you have a vehicle in Charlotte. This property rents most of its spaces to monthly parkers, so if you get there with your car before 5PM, you might have trouble finding a space until the commuters begin to go home. I got there at 4:15PM, and there was only one space available. In addition, parking costs $6. Some people think that's ridiculous to have to pay for parking, but I've certainly paid for parking at other hotels.

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in my entire life. The hotel was disgusting, dirty and outdated. Only one of the lights in my room worked, and I felt the need to wear flip flops in the shower
I chose this hotel because it was close to downtown, and I had to attend a function there early in the morning.
We spent over $100 for this room, and at that price, you would expect something decent. This place was FAR from it.
I would not recommend it to anyone. Do some additional research and stay somewhere else.
