I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights for a recent business trip. I chose this property mostly due to proximity to the location where my local business would be conducted and partially due to convenience to/from the airport.
The first thing I noticed when I pulled into the parking lot was a sign above my car that said "Did you remember to lock your doors, windows, and remove all of your valuables from your vehicle." Not totally uncommon but also not the first thing you want to see when arriving at a property.
The front desk clerk seemed burdened to take the time to look up from what she was doing to check me in, which has not been my typical experience at this type of property. After she acknowledged me she was courteous for the rest of the check-in process.
The rooms are typical Courtyard style, but with the addition of a mini refidgerator. There was free wireless internet but the signal was so poor you could not get a connection. The in room heating/cooling system was the old style swamp cooler, but it worked well. The bed was comfortable and there was good lighting in the room and great water pressure.
Two of the four mornings I was leaving the hotel there was a police car in the parking lot. I am not sure if they were just making rounds or responding to incidents. It was an actual police car not just a security type car. The Arrowwood area apparently has a lot of crime.
I felt reasonably safe once inside the hotel, and with the exception of the front entrance all of the doors required key entry, but having to come and go from the hotel in the dark due to long working hours was not comfortable for me and I will not stay here again for that reason.
