My family and I booked a room at this hotel 2 days prior to arriving. Upon arrival, we were already disappointed. First of all, there was a window busted out on one of the guest rooms on the bottom floor. There appeared to be a piece of cardboard taped in the place of the window. This immediately made us feel unsafe and skeptical of the area. However, we proceeded to check in. Next, my husband had problems with the lady at the front desk. She was quite rude and had a bad attitude. We then proceeded to our room. Our room was on the second floor, and was supposed to be non-smoking. As soon as we got up the stairs, there was a cloud of cigarette smoke that was everlasting. Upon entering our room, it too smelled of smoke. Furthermore, the air conditioning hadn't been turned in awhile; our room must've been around 90 degrees. We turned on the A/C, but it was taking forever to even feel remotely cool on the opposite side of the room. I then proceeded to the bathroom. The main concern about it was the non-slip mat in the bathtub. It was highly soiled and non-sanitary. I then went down the hall to get some ice. As I walked down the smoke saturated hall, I made it to the ice machine. To my surprise, it was out of ice. It gave me about 3 tablespoons of ice and then stopped completely. I gave up and returned to the room. My husband and I decided we'd had enough. We knew that this hotel was not even remotely worth half of the 60 dollars per night we were paying. We called the front desk and asked for a refund, which was given in full. So on the plus side, full refunds are given at this hotel easily. We left and went to a much nicer hotel!
