During my visit at the Blake Hotel we received the utmost pleasant stay. The front desk staff were very polite to take time and give us directions to where ever we were going for the past two days. You have a front desk employee by the name of Terry who has the most pleasant attitude and seems to enjoy his job. His professionalism and mannerism of constantly saying yes sir, thank you, and it there anything else we can make your stay as comfortable as possible please let us know. I thought he displayed the utmost guest relationship I have ever seen in the hotel business myself. I am a manager for the Hilton and often I challenge other front desk staff. He continued to smile and presented to help the next guest in the same manner. Keep up the expert training you do with your employees.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Blake. I had read so many bad reviews I was skeptical. The room was nice and I loved the lobby. I'm not sure about hotel service because I didn't need anything or room service. As far as the bathroom, it is a little small, but I think the half glass shower door is chic and The Baisden Party was awesome.... looking forward to next year.

My only complaint is that the it was hot in the lobby on my floor waiting for the elevator and extremely cold in the ballroom areas leading to the parking deck. (not where the party was) Hats off to the Blake.....

Your better off in your rented car. i was in the Blake for a Halloween party with some colleagues and it was the worst and we're rode dogs so we stay in many hotels around the country and I'm sad to say that this has to be the worst so far. they went to far on making it look European . the bathroom on my plane was bigger than the one in my rm. It had half of a shower door which till today i don't understand, very small bathroom I'm 6'3 250 so you can feel my frustration. No staff anywhere in the hotel just the front desk oh yea i saw one housekeeper the 3 days i was there. The only good time we had there was the party in the hotel which we put together without any help of the hotel cause they had no staff to help us!!! Anthony the van driver was the only person that i can say made our stay decent he gave us a very local tour took us to a restaurant and picked us up thumbs up to Anthony.. thumbs down to the Blake

NEVER AGAIN AT THE BLAKE

Over the weekend i stayed at the Blake Hotel for the Avon walk for breast cancer with many other walkers and my daughters. Friday night, my friends and i decided to eat at the hotel restuarant....after waiting an hour for just a glass of water.we found that the water had floating tissue paper and black chuncks in it. When the bill came we had to pay separate for our drinks and food...the wine was put into cheap plastic cups. Saturday, my daughters went down stair to use the internet and the manager said thay had to pay ten dollors to use it...the elevators were slow and cheap with curtains for the wallpaper. One walker told me that her sink water was brown, another said that her phone was dead and didnt have a dial tone. The view from some windows are great but others are just of the back of the parking garage. The trash cans were overflowing in the lobby and lobby bathrooms. The balls for the pool table kept getting stuck in the tubes that led them to be collected for another game. The parking garage smelt like pee and was very dirty. The bottom of the pool had brown chunks at the bottom and the whole place looked like it was thrown together for this event. It was tacky and cheap...Oh my god i do not recommend this hotel or the crowne which had horrible reviews as well. Stay at the hampton inn or hilton... Very good reviews.....NEVER GO TO THE BLAKE...but i did see ANDIE MACDOWELL, the actress but she wasnt very friendly and unhappy about the ten dollar internet fee.

We stayed at the Blake with a large group...The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer...we had to be up each morning between 4 and 5 o'clock. Many flew in from out of town for this event.

Here are my complaints about The Blake:

1. There was NO room service available.....which is rediculous, especially for the people who flew in and had no idea of where to go eat and no transportation.

2. The restuarant was a joke....there were about 8 things on the menu, the service was terrible and the chicken was even undercooked...one lady was even warned by the waitress to check the chicken. I heard yesterday that the whole "restaurant thing" was put into place specifically for this weekend and the Avon Walk...so they are not set up to have a restaurant.

3. I called to reserve a refrigerator for my room and was told I had to do it at check in. I asked the person on the phone if they would run out because we definitely would have a lot to go in the fridge...she assured me they wouldnt. THEY DID. We had no refrigerator.

4. I was told that all who stayed on the 12th floor had no phones in their rooms .

5. Many were without a/c on Friday night. (this would have put me over the edge)

6. We had no internet service in our room....unless we wanted to pay $10 per hour....rediculous.

7. We were charged for a movie we didnt watch ...... we got that corrected. Apparently, if you put the tv on a movie channel it automatically charges you with no question of "do you want to pay to watch a movie, yes or no".

8. The tv channel selection was really really bad....

9. We decided to listen to music on TV and only got 6 free minutes... we would have to pay MORE MONEY if wanted to listen to it longer.

10. The elevators gave us a fit on several occasions.

11. We had to pay $20 to park.....maybe that is normal, but I thought it was rediculous considering we were hotel guests and the rest of the ammenities, or lack thereof.

12. One of the walkers had their huge bathroom mirror fall off the wall on Saturday morning and shatter...

13. The bathrooms are tiny....the shower has no door...only a piece of glass that covers half.....so water splashes out all over the bathroom when you shower...not to mention it was cold not being able to close the shower curtain/door. (we had warm water though....praise God)

14. One of the girls who didnt have a phone in her room asked for a wakeup call or knock on the door.....they were woken up on Saturday morning, but the hotel staff "forgot" to wake them up on Sunday morning

As the entire staff of the Blake Hotel strived to go above the top for AVON Walk weekend, we apologize that some of the inconveniences caused us to fall short of your expectations.
