I took this tour after taking a "Free" walking tour of Uptown Charlotte, the light rail, and the horse and buggy tours. This tour by far is the most comprehensive in terms of what you actually learn about the history of the city since the mid 1700's. Not only does this tour cover Charlotte history, it also connects the local history with North Carolina and U.S. history. Our guide -- Juan -- was the most detailed tour guide that I have ever come across not only in Charlotte but the many other cities and countries that I have toured. I especially like the fact that on this tour you learn the true history of the area as opposed to the other tours that are watered down and full of propaganda. I no longer feel like a newcomer to the Charlotte area and I highly recommend this tour for visitors and newcomers.
